so we can really tie all of this together. Plame threatened to go public with this Judge Roberts' connection to the 9/11 MIHOP so he asked his buddies at the WH for some political cover. (Why would he be involved in MIHOP? Because he had sold short on insurance futures and is a sitting board member of the Carlyle group). So anyway, They told him he had to carry his own water a bit on this one so Judge Roberts leaked her name to a reporter at the Key Biscayne Picyune named Lefty McWright and from there, Bob Novak's 79 year old son who's retired to the Keys picked it up...handed it to his old man, Bob and they were off to the races.

So, Bush in his ultimate stupidity has attempted to deflect attention from Treason gate with this nomination when in fact he's added fuel to the fire by choosing someone so central to the entire case regarding the outing of Valerie Plame.

ANyway, enough of the joking around. I'd say if I were to judge from the top three posts on this board I just read, you folks are flummoxed about what to make of this nomination. The titles in order are:

Dems should Confirm Roberts and get back to Rovegate

What's our game plan? What should we do?

Here's why it's important to fight Roberts Nomination

come on people. let's figure it out with some political science, probability studies, etc and all agree on an idea here. oh wait. this isn't free republic. we welcome many ideas.

ps. the whole beginning part was a riff on some around here who thrive on tying everything back to the "grand conspiracy".

3. I knew Novak was old
but he certainly isn't old enough to have a 79 year old son.

Plus, I've never heard of a rag called the Key Biscayne Picyune.

I think you're stretching a little too far tonight?

8. and when dems let Robert on just to "get on" with Plame & Rovegate....
so then Renquiest retires and then Rovegate is again pushed back...and so on and so on...up to 4 Justices are due to retire....there will be NO end to this until 08 by your logic
