Hitchens on Al Franken's show
I don't usually listen at work (have too much work to do!) but I am listening now to Al Franken talking with Christopher Hitchens.

I can't understand how someone so obviously intelligent can be so completely in thrall to Bush and his idiot world-view.

He mentioned the buried centrifuge as the big proof that the weapons inspectors were all wrong and Saddam was active in nukes.

Of course Saddam wanted nukes at some point, but he had no way make them. Hitchens response? Saddam was skimming oil-for-food money in order to buy them from NK!

He also gives the Iraq war credit for "softening" Libya. Sheesh.

Al is amazingly restrained.

7. My beef with Al's show
He has wingnuts and Bush/Rush sympathizers on.
I thought we got enough of that through the MSCM already?

I do like Al's other guests.

9. If you're streaming the program
do what I do, stop the stream when there is someone on you don't want to listen to. If the streaming goes way down for a certain guest, they'll get the message.

10. Funny thing is
They started talking about his book about Jefferson.

Different man. Very interesting things to say, as long as it happened more than 200 years ago.
