a local sign of disapproval |
|
There is a retired man, about 78 or so who stands on a bridge here and holds a sign up, different from time to time, that says, "This fisherman wants peace in Iraq" and he does it every day. He is sick of war and says that he usually gets approval and support from drivers across the board. Only once in a while does he get the finger or a thumbs down. Its overwhelmingly supportive.
He was a veteren of the Korean War. God bless him. This is major in my area. We live in the reddest of red states.

2. Does anyone ever join him? |

How cool would it be if you walked up with your own sign, and just stood next to him for a little while?

5. Bless his heart; he's certainly doing his part. This sounds like an |

even better idea than freeway blogging. What if all of the over passes, say in L.A., had people standing side by side with their own protest signs - that would make an even bigger statement than just a sign by itself. This man's on to something and I hope people in your area join him.
