11. The people polled are looking at several issues

The number #1 item is, "Can the President get government into action in-case of an event with the backing of congress". The GOP have painted themselves the go to party even if we have to choke on their politics. Not to mention their are a lot corporations behind the GOP and people who work for these corporations have no choice. I will not mention the fundies!

But I digress...McCain might be ahead, but '08 is 2 1/2 yrs away...anything can happen and things we haven't even thought of will come into play.

Once again...'06 is the election that will set in motion all that happens for the '08 election.

bush has no coattails, and people are pissed; this does not bode well for the GOP in the Mid-Term. We can retake the Senate, but we have to push on the House. If we retake both houses... the bush cabal is finished for good. Everything hinges on '06...:)

The #'s will get lower...bush is eating from the sewer right now, and I don't put anything past him to try and bolster his wavering support...:(

not 2008. Also the media caters to McCain, and not the Dems. Just look at the Sunday morning shows and see how many Dems are on compared to Repubs. Also the media wants to pick and choose our candidates and that has got to stop.

I have noticed your post wyldwolf concerning the DLC and you are very protective of that group. I have some issues with those people starting with pro-military views boarder lining on imperialistic tendencies. The DLC is to close to the Military Industrial Complex for my taste. The next problem is with the CAFTA vote. Representatives had promised their vote to the House leadership, then change their votes without informing anybody but themselves. Nancy Pelosi was pissed and I would be too because this DLC group made the Democrats look like fools!

16. Maybe I shouldn't say this--but we have shit nothing for candidates

for the big dance. The "guys" who ran last time are now in the "has been" category even if they die hard around here. AND, it doesn't take a village or an idiot to predict that Hilary will never be elected---she just won't. This country won't elect a woman. That was flushed for decades to come when we marched off to glorious war and when the towers were hit. If this Dem Party had an ounce of brains, it would start promoting a good candidate, build them up, yack about them constantly, etc. For god's sake the media is full of talk on McCain, Frist, Pataki, Gulliani, etc----THEY ARE ALL READY RUNNING. '08 has started and we basically are still picking our butts.
