The hubris of George Bush reached a new level today
I didn't think that with Bush's falling approval ratings and the Karl Rove scandal, he would dare to do a recess appointment of John Bolton. It just goes to show that his arrogance knows no bounds. Bush could easily have found someone who was acceptable to be UN Ambassador, but he wanted to shove Bolton down the world's throat just to show who's boss. I think that Bush truly believes that he's king of the world.

"If this were a dictatorship, it would be a heck of a lot easier,
just so long as I'm the dictator."

- George W. Bush (December 18, 2000)

6. The Bible's Book of Proverbs: "Pride Goeth Before the Fall."
The New Dictionary of Cultural Literacy,
Third Edition. 2002.

"Pride goeth before a fall"

People who are overconfident or too arrogant are likely to fail. This saying is adapted from the biblical Book of Proverbs.

The Bolton cluster-fuck is the straw. Watch Bushco crumble. It will happen now, my friends. The Bible tells me so. I only hope I live long enough to piss on the grave of George W. Bu$h. I will save it up like my dogs do for a walk. If I outlive the bastard, I will piss on his grave. I do not wish the SOB (Son-Of-Barbara) harm, I just want to outlive him.

Know what I mean, Vern?

12. Anyone who doesn't think they're going to outlive * ... get a container
The rest of us will make sure that your contribution will be added!

By the way, my guess is that there's going to be quite a lineup at the graveside.

8. Say, what?
It's a typical presidential tactic, for a typical post. Yeah, I know it starts to be easy to see a great foulness in everything Dubya does. He is, in my view, the most corrupt president since Nixon. But Bolton's appointment just makes me ... yawn. Let's wait to see what Dubya does when Rove is indicted.

:bounce:

10. Arrogance and a huge rotten good ole' boy network,
are the only two strengths he has. Take away his media, his congress, and our rotten judicial system and he's just a texas roach.
