Rove is probably not happy that Diebold is not doing its duty.

2. hahahah
Or maybe they know too many people are on to them...
maybe they are wondering how the hell this one is even close....
wandering if they fucked up on Schiavo.....
wandering if they should have been more up front about the war....

3. They're thinking, "God help us if Wes Clark runs for president in '08."
Even Republicans are soured enough on the Iraq war, and supportive enough of soldiers (possibly guilty also), to vote for a military veteran over their own party's nominee.

5. There ain't no celebration going on.
Political reality is that this really does nothing to change the balance of power, irregardless of who wins. But 2006, that's a whole different story.

If they are seeing this level of erosion of support in a solidly R district, there is going to be a huge seachange in 2006.

These results are going to energize the Democrats. I want to see George W. Bush facing Democratic majorities on 11/6/06. Then the fun begins.

6. "oh crap, if there's a recount we're busted!"
RICO vs. GOP coming? Maybe... probably more like a huge coverup and fight against a coverup.

10. They're figuring a way to stall Dean from examining the machines.
They may have to tap Russert and Blitzer to attack him as a lunatic.
