Even if Hackett doesn't win tonight (and I hope he does, of course) |
|
This isn't over. The next election is only what, 14 months away? Who else do we have to run in this district? I'm guessing nobody.
So, if Hackett doesn't win tonight, he starts campaigning for 2006 tomorrow. He raises his visibility, hounds Schmidt and draws attention to every unpopular thing she does, and waits until 2006 and a real election year to increase the turnout (which favors Dems).
Given the unpopularity of elected officials, I don't think that Schmidt will make any new friends if she ends up winning.
If it doesn't go our way tonight, then it's advantage Hackett in round two.
Besides, even coming close in such a Republican district would be great and something to build on in the future.
Go Hackett!!!

6. I heard he was heading back to Iraq |

for another 7-8 month stint. Unconfirmed. Of course he's never been in any real danger, not like those lads under constant fire in Alabama during 'Nam.....

give W credit. I never heard of the Viet Cong making any real headway in Mobile. We know who to thank for that bit of homeland security.

Go to www.politics1.com and see if someone is running in your district. If not, get someone to run.
Of course, you could run too. ;-)
