For a republican to support you, you must be either a traitor, drug addict, awol, drunk, or all of the above plus a moron.

1. fought for America in IRAQ?!
Are you talking about Paul Hackett? I don't have any quibbles about that-- Hackett would have been a great rep, and he certainly speaks for me when he tells the truth about the Bush administration-- that's not what moved me to reply to your OP.

I'm replying because if you're talking about killing Iraqis-- people who were no threat to America or it's allies-- I call bullshit. That was not fighting for America by any stretch of the imagination. Fighting in Iraq is serving fascism. Call it what it is.

4. I think both you fine people are onto something good.
Maybe instead of "Fought for America", "Served his country". But the oringal post has that oooomph that I desire in Democrats.

5. No, he served his country...
Edited on Tue Aug-02-05 11:24 PM by GainesT1958
And if you read up on his time there, Paul Hackett served Iraqis, too, by helping to re-build schools and community centers in Fallujah. Others may have helped to destroy that town; he helped to SAVE it.

People like Jean Schmidt make me sick--but she may well not be long for her office. For if Paul Hackett runs against her in 2006, he'll certainly win. Then again, if he runs for the Senate in 2006, he'll be the odds-on favorite to win that one!:D

We can't let this guy go--he's too important to our Party's--and more importantly, our nation's--future!

:kick:

B-)

6. that might be true, but I will never accept that fighting in Iraq...
...served my country. It is destroying my country, and all that it stands for.

2. The stories about how DeLay was "buying Schmidt" make me sick.
But Rethugs don't care. They are completely oblivious to all of it.

~ Thank you Major Hackett ~
