showed that despite enormous sums of money being spent in the final days, sore feet, knucles, and ears were more effective at winning voters. Paul Hackett may not win, but he inspired more voters to the left than his opponent did to the right.

helped a candidate speak truth to power and still run a damn successful campaign.

kicked some elephantine ass and had the opposition running scared.

showed us what the plain-speaking candidate with the right support at the right time can do for the nation.

gave a great many of us hope that we can save the country next year.

Your candidate didn't win, perhaps, but you taught us all a valuable lesson that I hope the DNC is learning as well.
