Tinfoil hat question re: Marines killed all from Ohio |
|
Edited on Wed Aug-03-05 10:31 AM by FLDem5
In what sick, twisted kind of world, do I have to stop and wonder the deaths of U.S. Marines - all from Ohio - have anything to do with a Marine from Ohio calling the idiot son a chickenhawk? Please tell me I am nuts. Please. here is the thread from the press conference: http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=132&topic_id=1981545&mesg_id=1981583

I can't believe a thought like that even has to cross my mind.

I'm sure that the Ohio GOP coordinated with the roadside-bomb-planters ;)
But I agree, sick when the thought even crosses your mind these days, isn't it? I've had that moment a few times recently, too.

It's a not unexpected reaction when we have the world's biggest liar running the show.
If Schmidt were a Dem, though, and Hackett a Repub, the freepers would be screaming that this is God's vengeance against Ohio for voting against God's Own Party. They can always twist things to fit their perspective.

6. I'm wearing the hat too |
|
I think my tinfoil hat is a little too tight because I had some questions about this also.
I didn't make a connection with the Hackett race, but with the 2004 election. I feel that Ohio soldiers were keep a little safer prior to the election to prevent local news from showing all the pictures of these dead young people, which might have hurt Bush*. After the election, Ohio wasn't valuable any longer, so our units were put in the thick of things. (I hope I'm wrong.)

Bush keeps his real base far from the action -- why is it that Florida and Texas have contributed the fewest guardsmen?

9. I hadn't known that about Florida and Texas. |
|
I probably should have been able to guess.

It was a single bomb that hit one convoy, staffed by one particular unit.
That unit HAD to be based somewhere. It happened to be Ohio. It could just have easily been anyplace else.
I'm not trying to be offensive, but posts like this kinda scare me. It THIS what we've been reduced to, paranoid conspiracy theorists who see some sinister plot in every random occurrance?
Look, shit happens. If it makes you feel any better, try to come up with conspiracies for the last 1800 U.S. deaths in Iraq...you won't find many.
(I realize this all comes off a little harsh and I apologize in advance...it's really just me venting my frustration)

10. Will this thread not die? |

It was a passing thought that I now realize was absurd. But it won't die!
