Another Fred update on the DNC travels with Dean, AL and GA
This was posted last night. I love Fred's updates from the road.

Sweet Home Alabama
Another update from the road from Gov. Dean's trip director, Fred Baldassaro.

The Governor and I are in Atlanta today hanging out at the state party HQ, but I wanted to take a second to talk about the great time we had in Alabama yesterday.

We started the day at the Southern Christian Leadership Conference where the Governor told the crowd of about 700 pastors and clergy that the Democratic Party is the party that truly believes in moral values.

After a few meetings with the SCLC leadership and the Young Democrats blues and a few rock songs with the Elan family, who hosted the fundraiser, on their front porch. Governor Clapton, er, Dean played a few Bob Dylan songs and wowed the young and old alike with his guitar playing. It was almost midnight by the time we left the house, and everyone had a great time.

Tomorrow the Governor speaks to the National Association of Black Journalists and then we go to San Antonio for the DNC's Hispanic Summit. See you soon.

1. LOL! Governor Clapton.
I'd pay good money to hear him play.

7. Me too. Sounds like heaven.
I can't think of much that I'd prefer during an evening more than that.

6. Awww man
I would have loved to have met him and seen this.

My GF got to meet him when he visited a class of hers at Dartmouth last year. She is libertarian hates neo-con Pugs and said her view of Dean was turned 180 from that meeting. Dean encouraged her even if she had differing political leanings (she voted for Kerry eventho being a LP backer hehe). Her view was the corporate media view of Dean and instead found him to be a realist moderate political thinker and very much impressed her. I kinda gave her the "i toldya so" hehe. She has run into him once more since then at a campus club function and had good discussions both times and found him to be very intelligent and a heck of good conversationalist on a personal and politcal level.

8. He did spend a lot of time at Dartmouth as a visiting fellow.
I had forgotten that. Yes, he is very pragmatic, looking at the best way, not the ideologue's way of handing things.

Like your username, I am feeling that way, too.
