Bense won't run for Senate (Fla)
http://www.gainesville.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20050804/LOCAL/208040346/1078/news

Dashing the hopes of the White House, Florida House Speaker Allan Bense said Wednesday he will not challenge U.S. Rep. Katherine Harris in next year's U.S. Senate Republican primary.

Bense, a Panama City businessman, had flirted with the idea of challenging Harris since May. Karl Rove, President George W. Bush's deputy chief of staff and top political adviser, asked Bense to enter the race during a visit in Washington last month.

While Bense returns for his final year in the Florida House, the hunt among Republicans to defeat one of their own continues.

That means the Anybody-But-Katherine efforts of Republican leaders will only be intensified after Bense's decision.

Cruella, it's time to talk. They are still going to dump you, no matter what. Talk now, get even with them. Tell America about 2000!

4. This means
That by far our most vulnerable Senator will probably win re-election.
