Per limbaugh, Paul Hackett and I have something in common
COL Hackett and I are both "Liberal dems hiding behind a military uniform." But in typical limbaughian nonsense thats not true. The COL and I are both proud of our political party and our liberal beliefs but neither of us are hiding behind our uniforms. Am I hearing military uniform envy from a coward? limbaugh does not have a military record in his sordid resume so he must denigrate those who do?? Thanks bitch. But I guess that's fair; I don't hate for a living but I'll continue to denigrate those who do, especially the cowards amongst us. Do I have yet another reason to play the VET Card? Both the COL and I served in combat zones and allow me to humbly speak for the COL, we are both extremely proud of our actions in supporting and defending the Constitution against all enemies foreign and domestic. I retired three years ago but the uniforms are still hanging in my closet. And my shadow box with my flag is proudly on display in my home. Too bad fat boy; what do you have, an attaboy from the Heritage Foundation?

1. Funny, I became a Dem in the military
Living in the Republican ideal (you will have a rank in society, you will do as you are told by your SUPERIORS, and you have no recourse what so ever) scared the crap out of me (in a macro-social level) and I realized how dangerous the Repubs were.

That and Buchanan's speech and then Jesse's speech in '92-it couldn't have been more clearer.

2. I was quite apolitical while serving
but ironically I listened to limbaugh in the evenings on the way home from work in the 90's and it was just one big hate Clinton Fest. Thanks to limbaugh I became quite active politically. I had a great time in the military. I was on both sides of the orders spectrum (giving and taking) and understood that the Navy was not a democracy but we succeeded. Is it not tragic to see all the war hooting cowards denigrating our men and women in uniform. Hence my cliche:

It sucks to be a conservative in America today.

6. Chickens are signing up for America to HIDE that they hate America.
People like Rush who NEVER signed up clearly aren't trying to hide anything.

Understand? Enlisting is a symptom of anti americanism. Running away is a symptom of being Rush.

5. True american loving servicemen love Bush.
THerefore any servicement who clearly does not...that doesn't pretend or is stuck in Iraq where nobody hears his opinions....must be a DEMOCRAT who is trying to FOOL us by ENLISTING and carrying on a CHARADE by fighting for his country!

See, Rush believes democrats are so evil that they will fight for our country, NOT MEANING IT, thinking that then, people like Rush will actually credit them for their service.

But Rush is too clever, because he will refuse to honor anyone's service who is a democrat, so there! He escapes the clever trap by refusing to honor the troops unless they honor Bush first!

See? It's really simple. Support Bush or else.

7. It makes me furious
when vets are sneered at and smeared by people like Limbaugh, Rove and others. They have no respect for the men and women in uniform. It's partly because they have no real honor inside. They are cowards and not-so-secretly despise those with the guts to actually serve in the military.

My father did two tours of duty in Korea; and my brother was a lifer in the Marines. We have a shadow box with his picture in full Marine dress uniform, plus the flag from his funeral, proudly on display in our home. My brother was a diehard Republican, but I hope he would be ashamed of the hijacking of his party. He had a great sense of humor, and a kind heart for those in need. He never hid behind his uniform, he wore it proudly. Go to hell, Limbaugh.
