Santorum preaches to choir (Rants over Liberals)

U.S. Sen. Rick Santorum delivered a scathing indictment of liberal policies yesterday, winning a long ovation, and a large donation, from members of the Republican National Committee.

<snip>

Speaking of his early years in Congress, the two-term senator said, "The thing that frustrated me the most, to be very honest with you, is that Republicans from the time of the Great Society and for many years afterward, simply accepted the solutions that the left put forward. They just wanted to spend less money on them."

"Liberalism is a failure," Santorum argued. "It doesn't work ... it, in fact, destroys."

Assessing the effect of Democratic policies on families and communities, the Republican contended: "As well-intentioned as it was, and I give them credit for being well-intentioned, it was destructive."

I can't wait to retire Sanctimoneous to Virginia

1. I have to suffer with him every day
I'm here in Pennsylvania. I'm stuck between Mr. Santorum and Mr. Specter. So, like a "magic bullet," I deflect all of my grievances over to Delaware (Biden) and California (Boxer.)

Here's a funny story: Years ago, I was a valet. I used to work all of the big parties with attendees like Mr. Specter, Ed Rendell, and the like.

Specter came up to the front with his wife, who was staggering drunk and let go of her arm to hand me his ticket. As a result, his pickled wife tumbled right into a drainage ditch. Mr. Specter looked at me as I helped her up (he offered her no assistance.) I was so annoyed that all I could think to say was "magic bullet, my ass!" which sped up his exodus from my site.

The moral? If you ever want to get rid od Specter, just say "magic bullet, my ass!" As for Mr. Santorum, well. . . he seems to be doing just fine at getting rid of himself.

4. That's sad.
Santorum was born in Winchester, VA and maintains his REAL residence in VA. He doesn't give a fuck about Pennsylvanians. :mad:

2. And the little irony gnomes strike again...
Last time I checked, jingoistic, sanctimonious, sexist hate speech is destructive; not social justice and community. :wtf:
