Tisk, tisk moderator. Closing debate about the direction of the Party.
Although I commend the spirit in which the lock was applied to the debate between the DFA and DLC and the direction of the party. I don't agree with the fact that the DLC is on our side. Does the moderator's opinion about victory(any kind of victory)to be the final word on the subject? There are many of us concerned Democrats who believe that the DLC IS the problem with the Party. That the kind of thinking that they engender only serves to maintain "business as usual" whether it is wearing a Republican or Democrat mask. This kind of debate MUST take place, NOW! The soul of our Party is at stake(if it already isn't too late). By such actions being taken, I'm beginning to wonder. I don't want victory in name only. If we allow for victory by ANY Democrat to be our battle cry, then, we are no better than what we fight against. I know, I'm represented by a Democrat who has to sell himself as conservative in Utah. And his votes? Not the kind of representation I want. So what good is he if he only uses the name of the Democratic Party and votes along the lines of many Republicans in order to garner favor at home? This is the kind of whoring that give politicians the bad representation they deserve. This is a time for statesmanship, not politics! Tisk, tisk moderator.
