Blitzer interviewed Cindy just now, but fails to address the real issue
He has two former generals discussing, the Iraq War, why we can't leave...is it a quagmire etc.
The real issue Cindy is pointing out to is that this War is an illegal war, there were not WMD, and the intelligence was cooked.

2. Cindy was great.
I can't transcribe it for you but I think her words were the most intelligent I've heard about the war to date. The bottom line is she knows her son died for a lie and she knows that the moron, who some call President, could care less.

Can someone more savvy than me find a link or the transcript?

I read a few of the details downthread. Sounds like Cindy did a great job skewering the chimp. Does this mean she'll never be invited back onto CNN again? They don't like people who are mean to chimp.

9. What Cindy Said
Edited on Sun Aug-07-05 01:26 PM by Diamonique
I don't remember all of it, but I remember that he asked her about her meeting with Bush last year. He may be sorry for asking that question because she talked about how "jovial" Bush was and that he acted like it was a party. He wouldn't call her son by name and he wouldn't look at the pictures of Casey that she had brought to the meeting. Whenever she would start talking about her son, Bush would change the subject.

She then added that when Bush's representive came out yesterday and told her that he wanted to assure her that Bush cares, she told him she had met with Bush last year and she already knows that he *doesn't* care.

Cindy ROCKS!

10. Thanks for your description
And welcome to DU!! I've never heard all those details about her meeting with * last year. I'm boycotting corporate media, and this sounds like one of the few times I missed something worthwhile. But you filled me in on the good parts. Thanks again.:hi:

5. So Wolfie was just being consistent.
He's well known for his attentive polishing of *'s belt buckle to the extent the reality of the rest of the world doesn't make it through the hypnotic reflection of his own face.

8. Yes, he did.
He also repeated interrupted Barbara Boxer in a petulant way while kowtowing to George Allen earlier. His bias is so evident that I usually dismiss anything he puts out there. My personal theory is that he was hugely disappointed that Saddam wouldn't let him into Iraq so he could do Desert Storm: The Sequel, so it bacame personal for him to see Iraq leveled to dust. He's a petty sycophant.

7. I tuned in in the end when Wolf was reading Bush's statement to
her about how he was involved with the families of the Iraq dead. She looked like she was about to bust out - laughing or screaming.. I do not know.
