WASHINGTON — A U.S. grand jury in Guam opened an investigation of controversial lobbyist Jack Abramoff more than two years ago, but President Bush removed the supervising federal prosecutor and the inquiry ended soon after.

---------------------------------------------------------------------
This tiny item may prove to be Bush's undoing. An investigation was getting too close to one of his cronies so he demoted the supervising federal prosecutor, thereby cutting off the head(so to speak) of the investigation, which ended shortly thereafter. The federal supervisor had been doing that job for ten years. On what grounds did Bush demote him?
This could be very interesting, unless it slides from view without a ripple, like every other peculiarity that surfaces briefly from the Bush cess pool.

2. Abramoff and his buddy DeLay see no problem with a little
forced labor, prostitution, abortion.

On Saipan, Mariana Islands. Just a hop skip and a jump from Guam.

Sickening.

5. I don't know if Bush will get away with it
Not with the story being put out by Isikoff.
Too high profile.

6. In a sane world, it OUGHT to be his undoing
But I'm dearly afraid the contingency you mention may win out: it will slide from view.

Let's hope the demoted prosecuter screams holy hell. Or something.
