FAKE to the core - the ranch, the "crawford" image is all fake!
PHONY TO THE CORE: The "Ole Family Ranch" in Crawford is a Set Completed the Same Day the Election was Stolen
By Cheryl Seal

Have you seen all those article and pictures of Bush "at home on the ranch" in Crawford - the ones that imply that he is "just an ole ranch hand" more comfortable on the family homestead than in the "Big City," be it Austin or D.C.? Well, if you bought this image, you've been royally snuckered. The Bush family homestead in Crawford is nothing more than an elaborate set. The house, built in 2000, was designed to be ready for Bush to step into - like a set awaiting an actor - during the 2000 presidential election. Not only was the "ranch" created in 2000 - so, essentially, was the "town" of Crawford! Before then only about 400 people lived in the area. The Crawford Chamber of Commerce and Agriculture were formed shortly after the ranch was finished.

The 1,600 acres on which the "ranch" sits was purchased in 1999 for an undisclosed price, but it was a helluva lot less than the current real estate agents' appraisal of $1.2 million. Yep, worth $1.2 million, but G.W. has a sweet deal at the tax appraiser's office, where the property is valued at about $988,000. Oh, and that "homey ole ranch house?" It's actually a 10,000-square-foot single level mansion/compound that won't even be 2 years old until this November! The compound features a swimming pool for daughters Jenna and Barbara, who apparently loudly demanded it - the Bushes call it the girls' "Whining pool." Btw - we hear Bush got a sweet deal on the house construction, (the cost, of course remains undisclosed): the builders came from a religious community in El Mott, Texas. The original completion date of the house was November 7 - election day 2000. In other words, the curtain went up on the set on schedule for "show time." The very timing of this event indicates that Bush was absolutely confident that the election would be successfully engineered in his favor.

The whole idea behind the ranch set, of course, was so that the public could be treated to footage of Bush seeking a quiet "retreat" at the family ranch. Americans would thus assume that the ranch was a rooted family homestead or compound like the one Kennedy's had in Martha's Vineyard or FDR had at Campobello. But when Bush retreated into his "homestead" in November, 2000, he was merely walking onto a prepared set upon which the paint had barely dried, let alone even the barest of roots put down! When we see photos of Bush bombing around the ranch in his leather jacket in his "ole pickup," supposedly knowing every tree and bush - it's all pure fantasy! If Bush knows every tree and bush after actually spending, all told, a total of about 2 months on the ranch (if you put the odd days end to end) since it was bought, then I''d like to know when he found time to hold all those endless Crawford press conferences! Seems to me he'd be way too busy introducing himself to trees and bushes.

58. Very true. No livestock. No crops. Hardly a ranch. Certainly not a farm.
It's a joke. He's an imposter. He's deathly afraid of horses and he lives on a "ranch?!" Yeah, right!

It was a pig farm. Still is, considering the residents.

He's afraid of horses. Real Texans know he's a phoney, btw. I am married to a native Texan, whose ancestors came to the Lone Star State before the Civil War. We live near other Texans with similar pedigrees, and all agree that Bush is a carpetbagger who is a fake cowboy.

If the American People could see the actual compound rather than the sets...

Of course it is a flight exclusion zone, so we would have to be creative;

Or is there some law against simply photographing it?

that was on the property when he bought it that he uses as a backdrop to the press conferences. what you never see the 10,000 SF house he built to actually live in down there.

the old farm house makes him look like just a regular guy. wonder what it would do to his numbers if folks saw the mansion he built instead of the old "farmstead" he implies is his "home"

All in all this story would not surprise me.

However, claiming he's only spent 2 months there, total? Hasn't he taken at least a full month off to got there at least once each year of his time in office to far, plus other visits of a week here, two weeks there.

Seems he's been there more than 2 months.

I guess this original article WAS early in the Bush administration. Todays Top 10 mentions how much he vacations. Apparently he's spent (now) some 320 days at Crawford since he took office.

Hmmm, that's 64 days a year. 9 weeks and a day. JUST at Crawford.

11. I always liked
the shed photo-op back ground. "See this is really not a multi-million dollar place." Just some down to earth, common folks place. Bet they thought about tearing it down, but figured it would help mold public opinion. This one they allow the press to make commentaries behind. The guest house is used for having news photo-ops. Notice even the angles they allow the press to shoot from are all the same. The world is a stage and they use it, for the clown show.

a professor named peter dale scott once wrote that there was a big hole in the American history left by the JFK murder by the ratwing rogue ruling elite...and someday americans would be trapped in an incomprehensible bind as a result of NOT FIXING what was clearly a major problem.,..could this be why it don't compute very good at all?

<The very timing of this event indicates that Bush was absolutely confident that the election would be successfully engineered in his favor.>

And remember in F911 when Bush is saying how confident he is that he's going to take Florida? He KNEW that he was going to steal that election! This is why I think he knew about everything else that happens in his administration from 2004 to Valerie Wilson to BinLaden at Tora Bora and 9/11.

48. "...I'm basically a media creation." - smirk
"You know, I could run for governor but I'm basically a media creation. I've never done anything. I've worked for my dad. I worked in the oil business. But that's not the kind of profile you have to have to get elected to public office."

57. I knew he didn't ride
and that the image was a sham...but I had NO idea that it was built just in time for his pseudo-presidency. How creepy (and I'm not sure why)

Maybe because...this fake tough cowboy rode in as this hero protector daddy that impressed too many people after 9/11. He sure isn't tough, he's a weasel coward. And he sure is no cowboy...his closest claim is this shiny new ranch. But you have to be a cowboy for a John Wayne hero role.

Because otherwise this man is nothing. He was never a true student or soldier or business man or governor and he is certainly no Christian. He's never been anything but a shallow show. That owning a ranch made him a cowboy was stupid, but that it was just part of the show is all the more chilling.

All I really thought about it before was there has to be something wrong with a dude who wants to spend the dog days of August in Texas. But hey, he is probably in air conditioned luxury except for photo-ops.

I just find this unduly creepy.

61. so in that picture, the cement pond in the upper left is the
swimming pool; I would guess the house is the rather long white object just to the right of the cement pond? The lake is to the upper right from the long white object.

I knew the "ranch Home" was newly built, faced in Austin Stone and apparantly designed to be very energy efficient and eco friendly according to an article in the paper about 3 years ago.

It is definitely NOT the little house used for press conferences.

64. This is absolutely true; the ranch is phony.

I recall reading an article about his ranch. Bush's PR people said they "created this image" of Bush being a down-home guy, someone you could "connect with" (yeah, like a wire in a socket).

They told about how they carefully crafted his image.....I remember thinking, Is this Disneyland? This is so damn phony. So ludicrous.

Bush is nothing but a hologram of a president. He's not real. Just tilt the angle slightly, and he's not there.

We've been without a leader for the past 5 years. As soon as the camera is turned off, he calls up his cronies and talks about arms deals, commissions, sweet deals to be made.

70. I always wondered about the giant rolls of hay in the background.
Somehow, they always manage to be in the shot, loaded on flat-bed trailers behind the reporters.

73. Those bales of hay never move. Always the same background.
:eyes: You'd think some reporter would have blown the whistle about all this. The Press Pool has to sit in Hot Crawford doing nothing...seems someone would have leaked a little about the "Stage Set."
