Anyone here pulled a "Frist" on the president's exercise routine?
I don't know if anyone posted on this issue before, but it strikes me as symptomatic of something to be so overly concerned about exercise, biking, and intense work-outs.

I knew a coke freak who cleaned himself up and started running marathons and ultra-marathons (He would run 50 miles at a time in training) He had a continuing problem, even post-coke. I think he tried to run away from some demon, (my unprofessional diagnosis) but never succeed. I wonder if there is something similar going on with the president.

2. I think he exercises so much to avoid work
Seriously, you can be running and just have some song going through your head, nobody bugging you about policy or rules or sinking poll numbers or that crazy woman on the lawn bitching about her dead kid or etc. etc.

3. exercise is the only thing he excels at... if in fact what we hear is true
Probably the people around him are less good at it than he is.

5. intense workouts lead to an endorphin high
there's no relationship to cocaine abuse

humans like pleasure - we're hardwired for it. Also, as it turns out, gym memberships are considerably cheaper than cocaine.

Too bad it has nothing to do with getting the rest of America to exercise and adopt healthy eating habits.
