3% NATIONAL WAR TAX
Effective immediately, all US citizens are to be charged a 3% war tax. The War in Iraq qualifies for the new "National War Tax". Being that there are more than 500 troops involved in a military action either on US or foreign soil, the automatic 3% War Tax will take effect with your next pay cycle. You will see the tax listed just below the Federal tax reduction on your pay stub. The listing will state "War Tax - Non-Refundable 3% Reduction". Exemptions are limited to those with immediate family members listed as active duty military (refunds will be based on level, quantity and casualty); or those who directly volunteer a minimum of 160 hours (annual) in any one of the Federally approved War industries/services.

What do YOU think would happen....

1. Most Republican supporters would become pacifists...
just like they do when asked to sign up for duty at the front.

3. Nope, you failed to include the true war supporters in your war tax.
Rich corporate heads and those in the 'ownership' society would not be paying this...you need to include all forms of income besides 'pay'.

6. If anybody is payed ...
...any other way - it will be 3% of something else or the 160 hours of volunteer - I would love to see a Corporate head volunteer in a factory.

4. It's just another 3% of my income those f**kers won't be seeing.
Let them make it 300%. I'll still tell them to stick it up their ass.

But on the serious side, I'm kinda surprised it hasn't already happened. I guess that instead, we're stuck paying out the ass for gasoline, so for most people there already IS a 3% penalty on income.

5. For those who know their history this will blow up in Shrubs Face

Income Taxes were originally created for the purpose to support the War efforts. To add 3% on top of that is just salt in the wounds, especially to the poor.
