2. If they think the economy's good news, it's no stretch to think |
|
that they don't know about the visitors.
Just had a thought: If just 5 people, representing every different issue that they have with the neocon agenda, showed up at Prairie Chapel Ranch, can you imagine the crowd?

3. I'm glad his economy is good 'cause it SUCKS for me |
|
I'm having trouble buying groceries because the prices are going up and my pension isn't. Gas prices, as we all know, are through the roof. Just where is all this great economy???
I'm really upset about this. How can that smirking bastard look into the "eye" of the average American and tell her the economy is good?! I can't freakin' believe this lying sack of shit!

4. Still going after Social Security |
|
Edited on Tue Aug-09-05 09:18 AM by quinnox
"President Bush, upbeat about reports showing steady economic growth, is mapping out a fall agenda that includes reviving the debate over Social Security and pushing to overhaul the nation's tax code."
Hmmm, not gonna give up that dead horse yet? And I wonder what overhauling the tax code means, it couldn't be giving more tax breaks to the richest 10% again, could it?
Also, a question I would like to see Bush asked, if the economy is so freakin great, then why do Americans only give you a 41% approval in that area? Must not be so great after all

6. Democrats need to dispute this in no uncertain terms.... |
|
The Repubs look at the decline in the huge deficits as somehow proof of a growing economy when, in fact, deficits are still at record highs. They say this is proof that their taxcuts are working. After the recent passage of CAFTA and the jobs that are leaving our nation daily and the price of gasoline at almost 2.50 per gallon, I think there might be some wishful thinking tied to the next election. Th economy is experiencing a Keynesian spurt due to the record spending. But there is nothing to brag about.

7. Agree -- it's ridiculous. |
|
The budget deficit is ONLY what now, $350 billion? And the national debt is ONLY edging toward $8 trillion?
There's got to come a point where these rosey scenarios (about the economy AND Iraq) start to grate on people. I think many are waking up to the fact this administration can't do anything but LIE about reality.
