Even Newt Gingrich thinks the energy bill is much too costly.
I heard him on the radio and he sounded almost sane. He said that as long as the Congress knows the administration is not disciplined enough to veto such pork the Congress will continue to load up on every bill they can. He said Bush would sign this bill no matter what and all the Congress knows it so they take advantage of that knowledge.

I say this is what happens when a President gets desperate for making some kind of positive mark when he is being smothered in negative perceptions of him...and rightly so.

1. He's running for President
and moving to ht e middle. He is evil but he is smart. I ahve to admit that a Hillaryvs. Newt presidential campaign would be a hoot. Can you think of 2 more polarizing figures.
