Hillary Clinton to drop out of Senate race??????

One of my co-workers (who is a Repub) stated that he heard Terry McCauliff say that Hillary Clinton may drop out of her senate race. He said it was due to the high cost that the senate race would be. I can't find mention of this anywhere.

I thinking he is full of it... can anyone confirm for me?

And it reminded me of what my cousin's husband's sister's friend who lives in Ohio told me. She said her friend told her that the election is going to be overturned and Sen. Kerry installed as the rightful president. Hillary will be his VP.

There's no way she could fulfill her lifelong dream of becoming her party's "savior" and the first female president, if she gives up her U.S. Senate seat voluntarily.

If Hillary Rodham Clinton leaves the U.S. Senate in '06 to focus on a presidential run, it will look like she only used New Yorkers to "pad her resumee" for the presidency. It would also create yet another open-seat midterm race for Democrats to deal with having to fill.

That's not going to sit well with a lot of people.

And we all saw how well it worked out for Edwards...

No, Senator Clinton will run for reelection, and win; and unfortunately, her ego will motivate her to push her "celebrity status" in an attempt to manipulate Democratic voters in the primaries and try to scoop up the presidency...very possibly to her own undoing.

Why would she be raising millions of dollars for a reelection bid just to drop out? Even if she is going to run for president in '08, I don't see why she'd give up her senate seat to do so.
