CHART: Gas Prices since 1994

Notice how they've gone up since the Propagandist took office? Remember how much he and Cheney criticized Clinton/Gore about gas prices back in 2000 yet they've gone up *dramatically* since he took office?

"Bush's Gift to America: Price of oil: Jan 20, 2001 - $22 per barrel
August 8, 2005 - $64 per barrel. Increase: +180%"

4. Frankly, I'd rather have oil at $50 bbl than at $10
How else are you going to inhibit using it?

Peace.

6. Unfortunately though so far demand is much higher now than a year ago
The high price doesn't seem to be reducing demand so far, consumption of gasoline this year is much higher than last year. Guess lots of people are simply running up their credit cards to pay more for gas instead of conserving more.

And that money can go to the poor who can't afford $3/gallon to get to work and/or invested in subsidizing the hell out of clean alternatives.

I think the government should have a floating tax rate for gasoline for these purposes.

7. Didn't Cheney say back when Clinton was president
that high gas prices are the sign of a failed presidency?
