They are still afraid to gang tackle him and knock his face in the mud. The Dems have been beaten black and blue by the repukes over the past 5 years and can't return the favor. We need 100 Galloways

2. I'd really like to know--just how the Reps intimidate the Dems...

Seriously. What in the hell is going on behind closed doors--in American politics.

We all know that Rove phones up media members and threatens them when he doesn't like their tone. They willingly behave.

So, what is going on with the Dems?? Does Rove phone them up also?

Something...SOMETHING REALLY UNTOWARD...is going on behind the scenes in American politics today. Many Dems are silent or else they cave in to the Republicans. We're at critical mass here. Our constitution and our country's future are at stake. This administration is like the mafia...and there are plenty of MAJOR issues on which to attack them. Never in history has an administration been so blatantly corrupt, evil and so far out of the mainstream.

So why the silence? Why the inaction on the part of the Dems? Why does it take an average citizen like Cindy Sheehan to bring attention to these history-making matters? Every damn Democrat in American who cares about freedom and this country should be standing in that ditch and screaming their lungs out. Why aren't they fighting like hell? WHY?????

I will never forget when Tom Harkin (D-Iowa) sided with the Reps on Schiavo. It's understandable that Harkin would fight for the disabled. He authored the ADA act. However, Schiavo was not about the disabled, and he darn well knew it. His support seems stressed and forced. He did not appear happy when he spoke at the podium. Tom Harkin is a smart man. He's incredibly progressive. His best friend was Paul Wellstone. Harkin understood very well that the Reps were using Schiavo to cull support from unsuspecting good Christians. He knew damn well it was a rotten deal. However, somehow they strangleholded him into visibly expressing support.

HOW??? What is going on?

I tell ya...there is an intricate web of really bad shit that goes on behind the scenes.

I wish some decent politician would have the sense to reveal what is going on--so we can have our country returned to us.

3. Perhaps the Political Mafia that controls the GOP...
...has finally 'put out a contract' on certain Dems?

The SILENCE is deafening.

6. I just had this conversation
with someone this afternoon. I don't understand what it could be. Blackmail? Ignorance that they still think there is a great 'middle' of voters? They secretly want it this way sort of good cop/bad cop? Nothing seems to make them fight for us, for the country, for themselves even.

14. it is fear, fear of them losing what they have if they fight and lose.
they care more about their professional standing as politicians than about standing up for what is right regardless of the consequences.

that is not leadership. it is something else entirely.

16. The press would've ignored Galloway
if he was an American politician. Dean and Harry Reid (sometimes)tell it "like it is", but the media is loathe to give them national air time. The shrub echo-machine is so much safer to give air-time to you know. That darned "liberal media"! :headbang:
