Anyone else finding themselves in a constant bad mood
because of this incredible bunch of war-mongering idiots in Washington? I find myself just about kicking the wall every time I see another Bush crony in the public eye, making another lying statement to the nation. I cringe each time I see the group (we all know who they are) together blathering about our noble cause. The most noble thing I can think of now would be to drum this group out of office. Why do we as a country not have a fail-safe mechanism to allow ourselves to get rid of an administration that is so horrible?
Something like a "vote of confidence"? No Support from the voters?
NO JOB! Runner up in last election takes over. In the current case however, would he want the job? How have we sunk so low!

1. You're angry because you love your country
And I don't blame you--I'm angry too.

What we need to do is to act in positive ways that express our values, and which help to move our country in the right direction.

That, and vote with your wallet, and tell those who didn't get your money why they didn't get it.

6. Peak outrage
I am sick and tired of these fuckers. We are doing a training in West Liberty Iowa tomorrow with the Democartic party and I can't wait. We all have to do something about this administration and it starts at the grass roots level.
To anyone intersted...

Don't bother to sign up just show up we need you.

So what Jefferson was saying was "Hey! You know, we left this England place because it was bogus. So if we don't get some cool rules ourselves, pronto, we'll just be bogus too." Yeah?

7. Use your frustrations for positive things. Channel it.
Things have to get bad enough for them to change. We are approaching the point where the sheeple will notice what is going on and protest along with us. Being merely uncomfortable with the arrogance of the administration and its policies is not enough. Many people need to be slapped in the face with emotionally very negative stuff in order to demand change and this is what is happening. Yes I am in a bad mood a lot of the time, but I also try to use this for positive things, little things that may add up.

9. No. Optimistic.
Cindy Sheehan is making a big splash, bigger than we could ever have imagined.

* popularity is at a record low for a sitting pResident. Support erodes daily.

Anti-war sentiment is building, day-by-day.

Air America Radio is kicking WingNut radio's butt. Faux Nos popularity is likewise on the downturn.

Paul Hackett clearly demonstrated that Howard Dean's 50 state strategy is not only wise but that it *will* work.

The M$M has seemingly alerted to *'s liabilities, foibles, and abuses of power. They've been all over * and Scotty recently.

Some prognostications:

On some Friday soon--possibly very soon--a grand jury in DC is going to hand down some indictments that will rock the * administration from the very top to the very bottom.

The M$M will finally sieze the initiative and go for blood with *. Going into the midterms, there will be a lot of good reporting.

Next year several Repugs will distance themselves from * and his policies in a last ditch effort to avoid defeat in their districts. For some, it will work; for too many of them, it will not.

Alliances between the Dems and significant online grass roots sites will help make Dean's 50 state strategy a success. Repugs will have no meaningful defense against it other than their usual slime and slink away. They will be outgunned by their having to defend many districts on their own turf.

Online grassroots activism will work big time. The Freeps will not be able to activate as many people because of waning * support.

Elections will be watched much more closely. Some funny business will be exposed. Today's San Diego problems may be a watershed in this. At any rate, for many districts the Dem margin will be sufficient to overcome all but the most blatant fiddling.

Senate and House are in Dem hands in Jan 2007.

* in bigtime doo-doo.

14. Right on target
Another sign of blood in the conservative water is that Giulini, McCain, and other 'liberal' republicans are leading the polls for prospective 2008 republican presidential candidates. No conservatives are even showing up in the polling.

2005 will be remembered as the year that the neocon movement died, by its own hand, drowned by the implementation of its own policies.

10. See a movie, take a walk, make love to your partner, have a cold one...
...watch some old TV shows that you liked as a kid, call a family member- go to the LOUNGE!!! :)

The KEY is to not spend 100% of your time on this.

Chins up- the meek shall inherit the earth.

11. Nah. I'm a carrier.
A little bit of history is a soothing thing: blockheadedness, greed and thuggery are endemic to the human condition.

This shouldn't cause complacency, but it should take a lot of the sting out of the ugliness we see and feel.

These are truly extraordinary times, though, and it's hard not to be knotted up with anger, fear and depression at times. If there is any trick to living, it's this: let it happen, but don't let it linger. When you're sad, cry. When you're happy--whether the world's dismal course warrants it or not--whoop it up a bit. Let your emotions have play, and try to keep it all in perspective.

Cynicism has been my lifelong friend to keep me optimistic and engaged. Without it, the manifest wickedness of our species and culture would have long since reduced me to permanent tears.

You're not alone. You're REALLY not alone. Just remember this: you have the choice to be happy or be sad; go for the former.
