3. The tide is beginning to turn...ever so slightly
it is beginning to turn, with the magnificent bravery and poise of a mother whose son has been killed in a disasterous foreign policy blunder, along with thousands of other americans and tens of thousands of innocent Iraqis.

This will be a long, hard, years long struggle, but eventually, some president, some day, will step up the plate and say: "Enough. Enough blood, enough carnage, enough pride, enough of this 'can't leave, must win' pablum and rhetoric."

Its gonna be a long hard fight and I'm proud to support Cindy as the bearer of the first significant torch against the illegal invasion, since the massive pre-invasion protests.

19. This AM On C-Span Brian Lamb Had Open Phones AND
there was no designated Repuke/Democrat lines. The question was whether you supported the war or not. Out of 34 callers 24 said NO! 10 said yes, but even some of those said it's because we're there and we need to finish the job. So even some of those didn't seem so vociferous. Of course there were a few of the usual IDIOTS who said "Well AAAHHH, Support President Bush 100% blah, blah, blah"!!

We've got to make that Rally on September 24th as big as it can get. I'm going there from Florida some way, some how!! Let's get it together! We can DO THIS!!!

4. I still can't believe he'd just drive by all those families...
Well, I can but I sure don't understand how he can be so callous and stupid at the same time.

9. The Retarded Boy King Speeds by as America.....
waits. Guess we have waited this long, we will continue to wait as we are in this for the long haul. The protest will have to move back to Washington when the R.B.K. has to return to "work" after thirty-three days. (It's hard work fucking up a Nation.) Keep the pressure on and don't back down folks...my "I stand with Cindy" sign went into my rear window for all to see as of last night. BTW, I added a little quote from a DU'ers Tag Line:

How ever long it takes, the day must come when Tens of Millions of Caring Individuals Peacefully but Persistently Defy the Dictator, Deny the Corporatists their Cash Flow, and Halt the Evil being done in Iraq and in all the other places the Bu$h Neoconster Regime is Destroying Civilization and the Environment In the Name of "America."

11. "Anti-war protesters are held back by Texas police..." ?????
Held back? Could violence break out any minute? Is the crowd going wild? Let's see that pic!

Ummm, it looks like a bunch of peaceful folk standing well behind a police "do not cross" yellow tape. :eyes:

12. Every time I See The Photos I Just Want to Cry
I feel her and the other's pain "and" I wish to God I could afford to get down there. She and the others are so darn courageous. Ashamed to admit I, an American born citizen was in fear sometime back.

Never will be after seeing the bravery of these folks and Cindy, ever! I'm humbled, but oh so proud of them.

15. Amendment to the Constitution - Casey's Amendment

What I would love to see arise from all of this is the planning and implementation of a
Constitutional Amendment. Let's call it Casey's Amendment

Very simply, it would read to the effect that any time there is a declared need for a war, that
the children of those in power must enlist first.

"Leave No Politician's Child Behind," can be its alternate title.

Laura and Jenna in Fallujah. The 100 Senators can vote for any war that they want, but they
must know that their kids go first. Same with those occupying seats in The House of
Representatives. Maybe we would see a sudden shift in Cheney and Bush's support for these
foreign excursions, when it is their own flesh and blood that suffers.

When that day comes, I bet all of a sudden we will no longer hear that we have to be in Iraq
because we have to be in Iraq. All of a sudden there will be a reason to bring the troops home.

And let's face it, the young people who serve in the miltary are finding that once
they are wounded, they are unceremoniously shoved out of the service, before they have
even had basic care of their extensive wounds. But if we enlist those whose parents are
in Congress, we woun't have to worry that when they are wounded, that there won't be
medical coverage for them. After all, Congress has a fabulous medical benefits program
for its people. And the coverage extends to their families.

17. Always Heard that Saying as a Child. Now I have Learned
from seeing Cindy Sheehan, and how many people support her. I'm just as saddened by the others there, like Mitchell who also lost their children in Iraq, a war based on lies. My heart is breaking.

I will be "there" in DC in Sept to support her, regardless.
