Bush Supporters Hold Counterrally Near His Ranch
Bush Supporters Hold Counterrally Near His Ranch
Antiwar Vigil Held At Same Location

POSTED: 11:38 pm EDT August 12, 2005

Cindy Sheehan, the mother of a soldier killed in Iraq, is holding a vigil outside President George W. Bush's ranch in Crawford, Texas.

CRAWFORD, Texas -- A peaceful showdown occurred Friday near President George W. Bush's ranch.

About 100 of his supporters held a rally Friday night across from an antiwar vigil led by a California woman who lost a son in Iraq. Authorities kept the two groups separated.

Earlier, the president's motorcade passed the protesters' camp without incident.

As Bush passed on his way to and from a political fundraiser, law enforcement officers blocked two intersecting roads where the demonstrators have camped out all week. The motorcade didn't stop.

2. How many of the Bushbots have kids in Iraq?
They should be asked.

7. I'm sure the McLennan County GOP made a few phone calls
In the 2000 post election standoff the Travis County GOP made phone calls to produce astroturf crowds in front of the Texas Governor's mansion. It was just for the cameras.

allow a mother to grieve. But if it's against their messiah,
then they're against it-- no matter what. They're so effing
brainwashed. They're enabling this fascist "government" with
their disconnect from reality.

effing psychotics

8. Their Messiah
is not the ones the Christians acknowledge. They are sick suckers emboldened by a sick CIC.

Remember, each day is one day closer to getting rid of W. His legacy will show what the corporatist theocracy really was.

I do hope DU will put a calendar as to how close we are to getting rid of W.

5. God damn these people are so protective of Him
It's like He's a little child and can't dare be criticized, lest His self-esteem suffer.

"Support protests", or "relentless attacks against C. Sheehan".

This woman has CHECKMATED George Bush. He is absolutely paralyzed by her presence, and her growing group.

She reached out and cut his Achilles Heel. If she was inconsequential, trust me they wouldn't be bothered. They'd just look the other way and snicker. But the fact that they are mobilizing in such large numbers, and are speaking out so forcefully, tells you the nature of her strength. And it's massive.

Even Bush himself appeared and made a statement about her.

So we should see this as a compliment, a big ACKNOWLEDGEMENT.
