Is anyone worried about violence at Camp Casey?
Now that the Free Republic has their little Texas group organized for an anti-Cindy rally, I hope there's sufficient security at the site. Those freepers can be nuts; they don't like being opposed about anything. I'm a little worried that one of those gun-totin' idiots will decide to use one.

1. that was my first concern
when I woke up this morning. I came here right away to find out if all was well. I think (and hope) that there are enough "old hands" there to keep our side cool and calm.

2. yes I am
I am hitting refresh on a regular basis to check on the status of Camp Casey.. I seem to have a bad feeling this morning, hoping its just because vile people are down there and nothing more. I pray they are okay and have the strength to remain calm in the face of this digusting protest.

3. Mainly intimidation
There is a protest group imported, a typical goon squad such as any really decent protesters attract as a counter thrust from the Untouchable
bosses who send them. Protest warriors from Dallas, I believe? Not as dangerous or purely motivated(unless you count their pay from the RNC) as
the KKK or Nazis but there for a reason well known to all previous protesters in history.

Intimidate, instigate, disrupt, spoil the public image. Nothing new here, nor anything genuine. Genuine Bush fanatics would be loose cannons indeed were they not too fearful and rich to brave the heat and the glare of truth. Face these scripted actors, intelligently, now or what must come in the future will indeed by a push back to the bloodshed of the past.

Another way to look at it. they are big guys so they can survive the occasional punch. They probably come equipped with fake blood packets too
and might surprise you by writhing on the ground like like victims for the cameras. Just as plausible as the possibility that one might go berserk and tear your head off before being mobbed to death. Probably more so. They might be more scared than their targets, all in all, and scared for their jobs as RW goon actors.

5. Keep the cameras rolling!
There should be cameras on those counter-protesters at ALL TIMES!
The more the better. Be obvious about it. Let them know that if they step out of line, someone will catch it on video.

6. Freeps can't stand the heat
They shout "we don't care" for half an hour, then they leave. Thus doing us a great service.

That's what's known as a "target-rich environment."

9. If you're not, you're not a Progressive.
But if you've been reading Cindy's blogs, you know that there's a millionfold more hope there than fear.

Never Give Up.
