Bush is forced into hiding at his ranch; no Photo Ops this time
Bush left for another 5-week vacation in early August while US troops are battling in Iraq and Afghanistan. It's always been a great time for Photo-Ops. This year, however, the picture has changed dramatically.

News watchers have commented that Bush has been on vacation about 20% of the time, the equivalent of an entire year while in office.

Last summer, Bush had plenty of time to go out golfing and clearing brush while US troops struggled in the Middle East. There were photos of Bush looking upset, tense as he was struggling to get the ball in the hole. He went over par. Further down the golf course, there was a photo of Bush obviously succeeding because his club was held high, and he looked triumphant.

This year, however, things are different. With Cindy Sheehan camped nearby, Bush has been forced to hole up in his ranch, prefereably indoors. If he goes out golfing, there will be shrieking. If he clears brush, he will be seen as Dysfunctional.

The news media smells a story. Cindy is likeable, articulate. She never refers to him as a "bum" or a "creep". She remains objective, and keeps hammering away at her demands.

The fact is, she's CHECKMATED George Bush. He is absolutely paralyzed by her presence. Just the fact that a "nobody, appearing out of nowhere" is able to short-circuit him like nobody else has, shows just how weak this administration is. It must drive his advisors crazy.

He is truly trapped in the corner. Every move is blocked. The past few years, Bush has taken on more and more the role of Nero as the Middle East burns.

His only hope out of this is to drum up support. His advisors are telling him that he "needs to mobilize Americans", to show popular support for this war. There will be "Moms for Iraq" demonstrations. I expect to see "Dads for Freedom", and "US troops to the rescue" and that kind of thing. There will be interviews, articles of support, and so on.

But as of August 12, this is a fatally wounded administration.

2. Poor Decisions by Poor Presidents result in distractions from the
REAL FOCUS...advancing America and the Planet.

Instead, poor presidents focus on anything but benevolence and altruism....

Now we regress.....

3. life can be so redeeming at times...the emperor who has had to
answer to absolutely NO ONE for the past 5 years is now cornered by a greiving mother with no weapons, no money, no oil, no mass media. Just questions about why her son had to die in a war that has yet to be justified. Smells of karma imho...

10. Thank you, Gator.
I actually do leisure-writing; like articles for Good Housekeeping, Cosmopolitan and things of that nature. Just submitted an article to Reader's Digest about a single mom's adventure in Hawaii.

Unfortunately, Bush has forced me in here for the time being. Until things improve or I can 'wash that man out of my hair', I'll stay here and rant.

Thankx!

5. Cindy Checkmates George!!
So true -- and thanks Cindy for saving us from those nauseating golf-and-brush-clearing and dog-chasing=armadillo photo ops, they are truly digusting and wildly inappropriate given the hell he is putting our military families through.

6. That Cindy can keep Bush inside shows "how weak this administration is

does not say much for the opponents of Bush either.

It took too long to to put Bush on the defense.

Now let's not lose it.

Let's educate people on how to make wise choices.

When a whopping 89 per cent of a tax relief bill goes to the upper 3%, no one other than those within the 3% has any reason to applaud, but we all saw what happened. WHY?

This should not occur!!!!

First, such an unfair bill, then support from the lower and middle class for such legislation.

8. I'd like to see a pic of 500 people turn their back to his motorcade...
When it passes by. What a great shot that would be,see if the "Liberal media" would have it in print and on TV.

** is paralyzed by Cindy. Not only is it driving **'s puppet-masters crazy, I bet ** is seething with rage that this "nobody appearing out of nowhere" is holding him accountable for the first time in his sorry life. Maybe Cindy will push him over the edge and he'll have a public meltdown. :fingerscrossed:
