Our poor men and women, who serve in the military, are used as pawns. The military/industrial/complex uses them as security guards for their business interests. Oh they cloak this use in buzz-terms like "fighting for freedom and democracy" but the sad truth is that when business interests are threatened it is our sons and daughters who die. These are multi-national corporate interests that have pull over our Nation's military usage. This is "supporting the troops"?
If you aren't outraged then you aren't paying attention.

I understand that. My term "security guards" was chosen as a way to reach those that don't quite "get it".

That should be the next T-shirt for the DU store. "If you aren't outraged, you aren't paying attention."
And your post is dead on. I want to run SCREAMING when people equate anti-war sentiment with a lack of support for the troops. Isn't that the ultimate support for the troops?? Wanting to insure that their lives are only endangered for a genuine cause?
