NBC news smearing Sheehan? |
|
Using Anne Coulter as a source? Editing to make Cindy look bad?
Shame on NBC news.

and to be honest I didn't think it was a terrible smear. Ann Coulter was quoted saying something relatively innocous.
Instead of being news about crawford, it was presented as a pro-war, anti-war thing, and they presented ppl from both sides, including Cindy and a Democratic strategist, who did a good job defending themselves.
I wasn't happy with it, but it wasn't the worst piece I've seen MSM do either.

3. Let the media line up. |

This is a people's revolt. I invite all entities to take sides in this issue and then all will be laid bare. The revolution has begun. And it began with one grieving mother.

4. They're very adversarial |
|
That's my thought watching the corporate news do their stories on Cindy. Just like BushCo, their attitude is adversarial and dismissive.

... that the MSM is steadily working towards making itself irrelevant, not just to people like us for whom they already are, but for more and more Americans.
The farther from demonstrable, knowable, known reality their spin veers, the more people realize that they are not remotely interested in presenting a balanced picture and the more they are tuned out.
Sure, the 30% idiot-contingent is happy to hear them smear a grieving mother, but I suspect the average American is not really buying the smears.
It is one thing to smear a political opponent, we're all used to that. It is another to do what they are doing, and there will, eventually, be a price to be paid.

6. Well, remember that NBC is owned by GE, which is a military contractor |
|
You won't seem much sympathetic (or even balanced) journalism on anti-war views.
