"Cindy is emboldening the enemy" |
|
The right-wing shills have a lot of nerve saying that.
The American people were never fully behind this war to start with. And those who were did so mostly because they fell for the lies and uncritical media coverage.
So now that the inevitable deterioration in support is well underway (even before Camp Casey), they cry that anti-war protesters give aid and comfort to the enemy?
What unmitigated gall!
Like a guy who runs the car into a ditch and turns to his wife and says "this is all your fault" because she said he was driving too fast.
Or something. Can you come up with a better analogy?

1. The only reason we haven't been attacked again yet is . . . |
|
It would trigger sympathy for us around the World.
They will not forget who killed whom, no matter how quiet we are.
They will get even when it fits their geo-political plan.

"Bring 'em on" at yesterday's press conference? Oh, wait...that wasn't her who said that? Never mind.

they are out there running over grave markers, spitting on us in the streets, firing their pop guns into the air to intimidate us, and spewing even more bullshit and anti-liberal pro-war hatred on the airwaves.
But our "enemies" are wrong. Bush knowingly lied to get us into this war. Casey Sheehan would have served his country no matter what. He is a hero for dying for his duty and his country, even though the reason for his duty was based on a lie.
Bush and PNAC have the blood of Casey Sheehan, of the soldiers of this nation on their hands. For a lie.
I would ask any one of those counterprotestors if they would have agreed, out of the blue, to just go to war to bring democracy and "freedoms" to Iraq, and if so, why Iraq when Africa by far and away has the most horrific and appalling human rights tragedies and atrocities every day.
They would not have chosen to go to war to bring "democracy" and purple ink to Iraq. Certainly they would not have chosen to send their children to die to bring "democracy" and purple ink to Iraq.

5. A lot of wingnuts are saying that: I don't know what the proper |
|
response should be, except to say that the "enemy"- whomever that happens to be (Al Qaeda, insurgents, etc) don't give two shits about Cindy Sheehan, or you or me, or Democrats, or Republicans or anything apart from their own immediate motivations. Its pretty absurd to think that the enemy is even remotely concerned about what Americans are doing within their own country- either in support of or in opposition to the war.

I'm an enemy, you're an enemy, SpongeBob is the enemy, etc. Ad nauseum.
I guess it's safe to assume that if you disagree, you are the enemy and emboldening the "enemies".
Personally, I think that outing a CIA agent is emboldening the "enemy". I'm just crazy like that. :sarcasm:

We have already seen that this junta has no problem paying people to say what they want.
I am ashamed for the group of sissies that represent the media today. What a spineless bunch with very few exceptions.

to blame Smirk's failures on. Let's see. How many dead in Baghdad this morning? Forty-Three and climbing.
How many dead American troops in Iraq so far this month? At least sixty-one. (And climbing) Yep, things would have been just peachy, had it not been for Cindy Sheehan. Shame on you, Cindy. :eyes:

This is what fascists (Brownshirts) always say... |
|
Edited on Wed Aug-17-05 11:57 AM by Q
Naturally the common people don't want war: neither in Russia, nor in England, nor for that matter in Germany. That is understood. But, after all, it is the leaders of the country who determine the policy and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the peacemakers for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country." - Hermann Goering, Berlin, 1938

14. the enemy is emboldened by the weapons they stole |
|
the millions of pounds of munitions and weapons that the American military so foolishly decided not to guard or destroy. The successful use of these weapons is embolding the enemy. The dead and bleeding servicemen in Iraq are embolding the enemy. The hopeless lack of a meaningful security force in Iraq is embolding the enemy. Death and destruction in Iraq that are generals are incapable of stopping is embolding the enemy.
A greiving mother in a ditch in Texas is not embolding the enemy, if the terrorists could blow her up they probably would, and the American right would be all to happy to oblige.
