Poll question: Who is More Beatable
Edited on Thu Aug-18-05 07:17 AM by erpowers
I just heard that the Republicans in Flordia are upset the Katherine Harris is running for the Senate in Flordia. It seems that Joe Scarbough is looking into running for the Senate seat held by Bill Nelson. I think Scarbough in much easier to beat in that he has in my opinion a much worse record. The idea that he may have had and affair and then may have been involved in the death of the women is really bad. I know that Harris was responsible for the Flordia debacle and it would be easy to get people to get out and vote against her, but Scarbough cannot get around his record.

1. You realy should add the category EITHER or BOTH
Edited on Thu Aug-18-05 06:56 AM by mtnester
because I don't think Florida will elect either of them.

2. They are both horrible people.
I think someone else may come forward on the Republican ticket. I don't think Floridians will vote for either of them. They both suck.

5. If Scarborough's scandals have not come out before, they are not likely to
come out now. Although I find him despicable, he is smart and articulate, has been critical of his own party, and would be a far better candidate than Katherine Harris. I hope he does not run.

6. Anti-Harris commercial concept
Have a "look-alike" (poor person) with the crawl "Kathryn Harys" at the bottom:

"I'm tired of all those liberal whiners. Look!"

Tosses glass of water in her face

"I'm not melting!" as makeup starts running . . .

7. Cannot attack Joe on the affair and involvement in a woman's death
without opening up the entire Ted Kennedy thing. That makes Harris easier to beat.

10. Exactly. Plus, their is no evidence of foul play in Joe's case.

20. Maybe
A few years ago it was reported that the same coroner who worked the scene of the crime had gotten in trouble for ruling a case as not foul play when it was actually foul play.

19. However
The Ted Kennedy case is different in that he was drunk and probably did not purposely leave the women to die. It is possible that Scarbough was purposely involved in what happened to his supposed mistress.

21. So driving drunk
affords one the opportunity to state that they had nothing to do with a death attributed directly to the act of driving drunk? Better rethink that one. Scar was out of town when his intern was found dead, Kennedy left the scene, went home and showered, called his lawyer, then called the police.

8. Joe killed his intern, Cruella killed this country.
Neither should be electable to ANY office. But this is Florida where the system is completely corrupt, so which ever it is will "win". On the other hand, Nelson votes for them 97% of the time anyway, so what the hell does it matter?

11. Where is your proof that Joe killed his intern?
If your gonna' accuse the man of killing someone you better have some hard proof.

The aide, Lori Klausutis, was found dead, with no evidence of foul play or suicide, in the Florida office while Scarbourgh was in Washington, and this was after he had resigned from the House (August 2001).

14. You are absolutely right!
There is too much accusation without any solid, substantial proof that goes on today. If we want credibility with anyone slightly right of the far left, we have to start showing real proof and not just touting hypothesis as fact.

9. Harris. Scarbough would be a great candidate if you ask me.
He's smart, charismatic, great name ID, and has legislative experience. The intern issue wouldnt hurt all that much. The aide, Lori Klausutis, was found dead, with no evidence of foul play or suicide, in the Florida office while Scarbourgh was in Washington, and this was after he had resigned from the House (August 2001).

16. I never saw him "do a number" on Clark.
Which interview was that?

It may be that he gets his facts wrong on purpose, but primarily I think he's just dumb.

18. I remember that too, but...
What I mostly remember us writing about was that Scar came back on his show the next night and lied about what Clark has said.

WKC got the best of Joe during the actual interview. Which is why Scar had to lie about it the next night. You could tell he didn't like being bested. These ratbastards never do.

I can probably find a copy of my letter, and maybe even the transcript or video, if you're interested.
