The more I think about Junior Dubya getting on with his life, the more the word "disconnect" comes to my mind. What president in his right mind would schedule a featherbrained racing duel with Lance Armstrong when body parts are flying around Iraq like a bloody sandstorm?
I fully realize that when the heat is on (Vietnam War, massive protests in D.C.,grieving mother in a Crawford ditch)Junior bolts, but this is way baffling. Why would Rove allow photo-ops of a helmeted no-show gearing up for his big match? Am I supposed to look at that and swoon.....MY HERO? Won`t normal folks be a bit miffed at Bush`s callousness? Not one of them has enough fingers and toes to count the soldiers killed during the Commander in Chief`s vacation. Oh, that`s right....he`s getting on with his life.
Since I`m a Junk Queen, I`m going to root around and see if I can come up with an old urn to etch for Junior. AUGUST 2005....FIRST PLACE....WAR TIME BIKE RACE. Good grief. Has this man no shame?

1. Shame? Surely you jest...this is God's Own Anointed! |
|
Put where he is by GOD ALMIGHTY HIMSELF. Why, then, should such a superbeing feel shame for doing the Lord's work? If you don't believe me, ask the American Family Ass. Or Jerry Falwell. Or some other fat, fake-religious (I can't think of a word bad enough)... Maybe not since Nero strummed his lyre and sang of the Sack of Troy as he watched Rome burn has such a powerfully-placed "leader" behaved so shamefully. Maybe not even then.

2. It would be great if Lance would bring Sheryl along. |
|
She'd probably make him pick up Cindy on the way there!

He’s oozing with the childish, immature, arrogant, and I just don’t give a damn (unless you can help him make an extra million) persona.
And that smirk...it’s SCARY as hell. It’s like he’s saying “I know that you know I’m no good but I don’t care. You can't touch me!! {{shudders}}

7. Yes, you are supposed to swoon. |
|
People actually do swoon re: Bush. When Bush came to NE recently, the local media were interviewing people who were in line waiting for tickets. These people couldn't name an issue that they agreed with him on, but there was no end to "he's like your neighbor" or "I'd like to invite him over for Sunday brunch" comments.
Both of those are actual quotes, by the way. It was quite disturbing.
And, yes, I think he really has no shame.
And no conscience. Now, watch this drive.

8. But didn't Lance Armstrong recently issue a statement |
|
regarding how the war in Iraq is getting in the way of cancer research, and didn't he say something like "what we could do with the money wasted on the war in Iraq"?
Maybe he'll let Smirkolini win, and then give him a good talking to!

9. I'm sorry Armstrong is going. That's a disappointment. |
|
I do hope if Busholini tries to race him, that Armstrong beats him in as humiliating a manner as possible. Our most Orwellian pResident doesn't need any further unreality like believing he could beat Armstrong.
Sometimes Armstrong seems like a reasonable person, then shit like this pops up.

10. It'd be nice if he went and joined Cindy after biking with the Bushtard. |
|
Sadly, he takes the atrociously misguided stance of being "non-political" -- a stance that NO PERSON should take in a democracy!

11. Well, he's going on with his life. |
|
He's entitled to do what he wants to do. He's trying to compartmentalize....have fun but continue to do hard work.
Idiot.
