Dean or Kerry or Clark or someone needs to call Bush out
on the abuse being heaped on Cindy by Little George's paid character assassins. To sit idly by and let the weasel in the WH act so sympathetic while he and Rove orchestrate the trashing of a Gold Star Mother is craven. Our leaders should be demanding that W, Frist, Santorum, Cheney and all the rest of these cowards insist that the RW hit squads cease and desist.
To do so would be good politics as it is an obvious example of how these thugs operate, but more importantly basic morality requires leaders of principle summon the spine to come to her defense.
Where are our Democratic leaders?

1. Hasn't Kerry already called Bush out on it?
Not sure about Dean or Clark. I'm sure Dean has.

5. Now now
don't let facts get in the way of a good rant.

People can't seem to explain what "pink tutu" is supposed to fucking mean, either. One vote, and they're turncoats?

Kerry and Edwards don't deserve that. Edwards is doing good work for the poor. And Kerry has been out there fighting as well, a fact that some can't remember for more than a few minutes, until a butterfly goes by or something. It's like dealing with Drew Barrymore in "50 First Dates".

4. Maybe I missed it but
I haven't heard any one of the men mentioned say one word to call off the attack dogs. Not Kerry, not Clark, and not Dean. Nobody from the Democratic Party in fact, except maybe Conyers, the patron saint of the Stephanie Miller show as well as all of American progressives. Quite frankly, I'm not sure it would work anyway. These people are brutal. They repeat lie after lie and expect people to buy them.

6. Thanks, I was beginning to wonder if I had been dozing
during the evening news. I am sure that any number of Democrats have called on W to meet with Cindy. But I have yet to see anyone descry the routine Republican ploy of letting Little George play the compassionate, understanding, decent person role while his henchmen destroy good peoples' reputations. To anyone who has actually come out and pointed out this malevolent hypocrisy, I say congratulations. But I think the silence has been deafening in this regard.

7. It feels so strange. As people around the country move to
embrace Cindy's cause and there is more and more talk of people being disgusted with *co. in every way ... Yet, we hear nothing but silence from the Dem leaders.
