I know the Patriot Act sucks but....
Can someone please explain to me how this section would NOT apply to shrub?

Under Section 802 of the USA PATRIOT Act, a person commits the crime of domestic terrorism if within the U.S. they engage in activity that involves acts dangerous to human life that violate the laws of the United States or any State and appear to be intended:
(i) to intimidate or coerce a civilian population;
(ii) to influence the policy of a government by intimidation or coercion, or
(iii) to affect the conduct of a government by mass destruction, assassination or kidnapping.

COERCION, N: the use of express or implied threats of violence or reprisal or other intimidating behavior that puts a person in immediate fear of the consequences in order to compel that person to act against his or her will

Is this not EXACTLY what * did to the American people by lying about WMD? and with all that mushroom cloud crap?

Wouldnt he be defined as a terrorist by his own precious bill?

Am I off?

PS.. :hi: Hi DU! glad I found you! b~

made before the last elections to the effect that if the voters didn't choose the right one we might have another terrorist attack.

By the way, welcome to DU :hi:

6. which is another thing...
Wouldnt another terrorist attack on the US (that * will use as an excuse to start WWIII) only PROVE that we are NOT safer now and create more opposition for him??? Or would we be back to being controlled by fear...

10. Those of us with brains would see it that way...
but Shrubby would just say that "this terroris' fightin' is hard work and it's tough to flush 'em all outta their pits but'chu can sure bet that we're doin' all we can to keep the Umercans safe and outta harms way. And oh, by the way...if you vote for a democrat in the next election we'll defnitly be attacked agin".

And his devoted followers would swallow it all - hook, line and sinker.

:banghead:

5. There are no buts to "The Patriot Act sucks," but...
You perceptively made an excellent point. Impeach, then prosecute under this abomination of legislation. Then abolish the legislation.

7. Welcome to DU!
And you're dead on. That is EXACTLY what the * administration has done and is still doing.

Wouldn't it be great, in some strange fantasy, to see them be charged as terrorists? I would sell my soul for that. :)
