Bush shatters vacation record
by kos
Fri Aug 19th, 2005 at 10:28:54 PDT
Its taken just over four years for Bush to break the vacation record it took Reagan eight years to establish.

336 days.

Finally, Bush has an accomplishment to his name.

1. And Reagan was not a "war president"
This president wants all of the benefits of being a war president without any of the risks and responsibilities.

21. Hey!! If Ronnie hadn't invaded you'd be speaking uh...Grenadian right now!
Those guys lengthening that runway so larger aircraft could land carrying tourists and MONEY didn't fool me for a minute. They were commies plain and simple and Ronnie showed them who's boss!!

3. And we can't say we are glad he's on vacation
because then he can't fuck anything up, but he fucks up shit just by waking up. He's a fucking walking disaster and a tribute to the logic and saneness of those who support him.

4. Just think. Bush has been on vacation
about 20% of the time. That's the equivalent to ONE YEAR that he's been on vacation. Kicking back a tall one, watching golf on TV, maybe baseball.

Heading out and taking a bike ride. Or wandering around, aimlessly (he's good at that). Notice I didn't say "cutting brush" because that's just a PR gimmick. Bush doesn't like brush. He doesn't like cutting things.

15. Nixon has the record at 32 days off on one vacation, Bush aims to tie it
for a specific reason. The last time he did vacation time Bush quit at 28 days as advisors suggested not to beat Nizon's record and he quit at 28 days.

Powell,Cheney and Rumsfeld all served under Nizon at the same time. (there's a message here)

7. About 23% of his total time as president
has been spent on vacation.

What a job! It's almost like working 3 weeks a month, or being off almost 3 months a year.

19. GOP knew that Bush would have to spend as little time in DC. to pull him
off! The same reason Bush holds the record for giving the least amount of speeches then any other President, Even Bush Sr. gave 181...!

22. By my math he's been in office for 238.33 weeks....
And has taken 336 days of vacation. So he taking almost 1.5 days of vacation EVERY week.

Good job Smirk....

Edited on Sat Aug-20-05 09:28 AM by ComerPerro
He seems to have been consistently averaging 20-25% of his time spent on vacation, all through his first four years. And I don't see any reason why this trend won't continue.

He could easily end up on record as the laziest President in US History.
