1. Yeah, it's what soldiers do. That's why it is so incumbent on the
politicians and leaders to protect them and care for them. They do what they are told by those who lead them because they believe it is important to protect country, cause and family.

And that makes the abuse of that trust so much the worse.

6. The blame is to be shared by the military command as well
Well it's not the politicians that haven't done anything. The job was given to those in uniform resposible for procurement of the items needed by the troops, but the ones in the Pentagon remained loyal to their White House master and his Overseers, and dropped the ball.

When they were called before Congress to testify why nothing had been done, they offered shallow excuses, and Congress let them off the hook, at least the Repukes in Congress did.

I recall watching part of the hearings, and listening to a Marine
brigadier general give some flimsy excuse as to why he hadn't done
anything about procuring armored Hummers. None of the members of the
Armed Services Committee requested that he resign, I know I would have.

If that Marine general had been a man of interity, he would have offered to resign, but those in the Pentagon are no longer required
to have integrity, the only thing that they are required to do is to show total loyalty to Bush, while shirking their duty to the country.

3. It's not a yes or no answer. Casey did what he thought was his duty
Sure he could have went to jail or Canada, but what if he felt he owed it to his friends not to?

8. How could we know? by the % of recruitment being off so much
Volunteer enlistment was high after 9-11 and extremely low as more is known about Bush's phoney lead-up to the war was.

9. Good. More and more are getting it. As it should be.
Best wishes to Cindy, absolutely no disrespect or supposition intended. I wish her son had indeed had the ability to make a choice.
