Here's One I've Never Seen Before! |
|
I was on line at the gas station today and there was a car at the pump to my left. All of a sudden the old guy drives off with the nozzle still in his car! He pulled the whole thing right out of the pump! Triggered the cutoff. They had to shut down the pumps and extract the thing from his car!
I had to wait around cause I was driving on fumes. Took 20 minutes and cost me $39.00 to fill my Camry to boot !!!!
Just when you think you've seen it all! :eyes:

Is there any way you can love a car too much? Cause I think I'm right in that zone. :loveya:
Damn, $39.00?

I said "Goodbye SUV!" to top it off.
My insurance and payments went down on a *new* model. I could have bought used, but a 2004 w/ 25K was only $1,000 less than a new one. I got such a great deal!

4. I'm not sure I should advertise this |
|
In the 15 years we've been together, my SO has done this twice! Driving away with the nozzle still in the car, that is. My SO thinks it's due to a little ADD.
Our insurance covered it both times, 'cause the gas station charges for the cost of the attachment parts that are damaged when this happens (apparently they are designed to disconnect at some point in the hose in these instances).
Comical? Yes, the first time, but embarrasing, too, because gas is pouring out everywhere and the attendant and onlookers freak while coming out to find the cutoff. The second time? Well, not so funny.
It's been over ten years ago, though, since the last time it happened, so I guess my SO has worked out some of the ADD issues with the gas pump thing! We'll see.

5. That's why I always wait outside the car while it's pumping. |
|
I'm so scatterbrained that I know if I was at all out of sorts, I would do just that.

8. I have a little dimple next to my gas tank cap where I tried to |
|
do that. I was all out of sorts at the time.
Fortunately did no harm to my car, but boy did I feel stupid.

6. I got a Camry LE from Goodwill for $700 |
|
It's a 94 with 42,000 miles previously owned by a little old lady. I've had it a few months...put $500 into it...it's the best car I ever owned.
