There sure has been a rash of them lately. I don't read the news from one minute to the next without finding another Republican has been indicted. Do you suppose it's a plan to prepare us for the big shocker - BushCo indicted for treason? I suppose people need some time to get used to the idea that our elected officials could be crooked as a coiled snake.

Who do you think will be indicted next? Will it be Hastert? Delay? Frist? Bush? Rove? Cheney? Libby? Mehlman?

Offer up your best ideas of what 'puke is up next on the legal chopping block...

2. After Abramoff it will be.....
DeLay, and then Mehlman most likely will be indicted for bribery charges.

Afterwards, Karl Rove will probably finally be put on the chopping block and Libby and someone else will go down hard. Then in the firestorm Cheney will be spinning like a whirly top to deflect any oncoming indictments of himself.

3. DeLay, gotta be...
The Austin DA has been sitting on this for a while, knocking of some lesser types to get information. We wouldn't expect it. All eyes are fixed on Firzgerald, who will come through. But to really rattle some cages, the "good government" crowd will make a point. We'll take the nastiest guy down first. Now imagine what we've got in store for you.

Make no mistake about it, there is a civil war raging within the power elite of this country. There are people in major institutions, including the judiciary (recall the threats of violence promoted by DeLay against the judiciary, supported by the rest of them). How did Fitzgerald get appointed? How did the special prosecutor in Ohio get appointed (hard core Federal prosecutor who doesn't care about politics)?

Delay, come on down, you're going to be indicted!

John Kass
A small problem for Big Jim: He oversaw Radler
Published August 19, 2005

In Chicago on Thursday, federal prosecutors at the Dirksen U.S. Courthouse were standing before financial charts, describing how former Chicago Sun-Times publisher F. David Radler and others allegedly stole $32 million from the paper's parent company.

Radler, who is cooperating with prosecutors, had just been indicted. The speculation is that he's talking about former Hollinger International Chief Executive Conrad Black. Likely there are others too....

The federal indictments portray Radler and his cronies as the supreme weasels and the board of directors of Hollinger International--which runs the Sun-Times and other papers--as unwitting victims. Although, men such as Hollinger board members Henry Kissinger and Iraq war architect Richard Perle aren't usually considered naive rubes ripe for the fleecing...

And, for years, as Radler allegedly stuffed his pockets with Hollinger International money, Thompson had another duty, as chairman of the audit committee of Hollinger's board of directors.

5. Now this is excellent! Chicago corruption is always the best. But..
I still think it's DeLay. Would like to see the point made about the "pristine" 911 Commission...and this would make it. "Former Governor and 911 Commission member Big Jim Thompson..." Perp walk!

6. That's a new one on me. Thanks for the info.
Jeez, Louise. Are there ANY Republicans who aren't crooked and about to be indicted? No wonder I had to leave the party - I'm not crooked!

Personally, I think there needs to be the biggest, nastiest, most horribly damaging firestorm this country has ever seen that takes these 'puke crooks DOWN HARD!!! We need to send a message to all the political crooks that this kind of corruption will NOT be tolerated by the American people.

They didn't want to indict Nixon because they thought it might damage the country. I think they MUST indict Bush for the same reason - if they don't, these crooked slime-crusted 'pukes will just start it up all over again. I hope Fitz thinks about that as he investigates and writes up his indictments. We desperately need a legal example that's uncompromisingly tough that will set a fearful example for every politician to follow - a warning on what happens to elected officials who turn crooked and treasonous against our country and the American people. The US has too much power in the world to place it in the hands of elected criminals.

7. I can name one who isn't crooked.
Olympia Snowe of Maine, Heather Wilson of New Mexico. These are good republicans. There are alot of good honest politicians in both parties, but unfortunately the stench of the fake ones like Zell Miller have gotten all the attention. They are no different than crooks.

9. I agree.....Olympia is one of the good ones.
I had the pleasure of spending an afternoon about 10 years ago building a creative playground with her. She showed up with no entourage in jeans and pounded nails and cut board. We have a lively discussion about politics, quite friendly, though. I sure would like to have another opportunity to do that soon. Wish she'd jump the aisle. Afraid I'll have to vote and work against her re-election. Good Republicans still enable the bad ones.

11. We should handicap the crooks.
Delay 10:1
Hastert 5:1
Reed 12:1
etc

I'm hoping that as we pick the 1st card out of the foundation, the house of cards will fall.

14. Hey...
...you even got the "Section 8" part right! He is the commander-in-chief, after all, and would need the right release from the military to go to jail! LOL!

Now all we need to do is find Nurse Ratchet for a little personal attendance...

Only the best for Bush while he rots in prison - but not one moment before!

No need spoiling the rotten kid by giving him what he deserves before he takes his rightful place in society!
