We need to refer to Iraq as 'Bush's abject failure.' |
|
As Bush swings into a five day lie-fest to re-sell his little war, we need to call a spade a spade.
The reality?
1. BushCo lied us into war. 2. Even though they lied us into war, they could have managed the war well and done substantial good for the Iraqis and the US - they didn't. Mismanagement reigns supreme in Iraq. 3. BushCo committed fraud in Iraq through their buddies at Halliburton et al that has cost Americans millions of hard earned tax dollars. 4. BushCo has spent billions of dollars in Iraq, ramping up the debt (and compound interest!) that our children will have to enslave themselves to pay. 5. BushCo committed treason to cover-up their lies about Iraq. 6. BushCo lied to the American public about their treason. 7. BushCo is under investigation and may be indicted for their treason. 8. BushCo squandered our relationships with our allies around the world, knowing that their reasons for going to war against Iraq were a lie. 9. BushCo has undermined the strength of our military by discouraging the best and the brightest from enlisting because of mismanagement of Iraq. 10. BushCo looked the other way while core American values about decency were violated at Abu Grahab, making the world view the US as a hypocrit when it comes to human rights.
I could extend this list considerably, but I think it clearly highlights the biggest truth in American politics today:
Iraq is 'Bush's abject failure.'

4. This failed Republican administration |

has asserted privilege for the wealthy time and again, using tax, environmental, labor, judicial and other devices to pick the pocket of the Average citizen -- and then to fill the Groaning Treasure Chests of an Elite Class of Oil Republicans.
Whatever.
