Absolute must see TV on CNN Sunday night 7 pm CST......
Edited on Sat Aug-20-05 01:52 PM by OneTwentyoNine
I really can't believe that CNN is running this but "Dead Wrong" is on tomorrow night--Sunday. Just saw a promo for it,damn powerful stuff on how Powell's speech was ALL BS based on crap info--in fact even those in Intelligence knew red flags should go up and REALLY check facts before spouting off in front the World as to why we needed to BOMB and invade Iraq. Of course we have known for YEARS it was all LIES but maybe some of the 40% that STILL support Bush will turn away from him and his administration.

Don't miss it,keep this bumped up or start a new thread tomorrow afternoon so no one will miss the show.

1. If it's not pre-empted by "A Fly Boy's Story"
Nominated post, everyone should have their Bush-voting friends and relatives watch this show.

2. I have a feeling that they are just going to blame everything on the CIA
I'll be VERY surprised if they mention the OSP.

16. Also, Bush & administration have the final say ...
on what CNN broadcasts. I am very skeptical about this showing. Looking forward to what they have to say (or cover over).

5. I am curious if they are planning to lay blame at crashcart and the
retarded cowboy's door or if they will scapegoat Uncle Colin and Tenet.

I suspect the latter.

Edited on Sat Aug-20-05 02:04 PM by OneTwentyoNine
And..if I were a group of them blamed for this fucking mess I would lash out instead of carrying the burden for Bush who was going to War no matter what they came up with.

6. I saw the promo for it and thought...
What's wrong with this picture? This is CNN and they want to air something during prime time that will make Bush look BAD? I'm very suspicious of this and I doubt that Bush's policies will be badmouthed.

8. Let them blame it on the CIA...
it pisses them off! All of this has...and now they have outed one of their own. You don't do that, and I think this fracture in the CIA is going to take them down....all the leaked info including British agents. I hope they publically blame the CIA again...it makes them angry!

CNN is advertising the show as "piec(ing) together the events leading up to the mistaken WMD intelligence that was presented to the public." MISTAKEN intelligence? It was FABRICATED and FORCED to be used! If that's what the show is based on, it's revisionist propaganda meant to exonerate Bush and make the CIA and Powell "fair game"!

10. If you can't blame the CIA,
Blame Clinton...It will be interesting to see this program. This is the same cable network that gives us Wolf Blitzer and others of his ilk. I hope for once to see a real knock-em-out-anti-bush-doctrine
program. Something to make me feel like someone is paying attention to this downhill slope we're on!

14. They do give Powell a pass for showing the cartoon like pics at UN
I saw that segment. They say Tenet gave Powell wrong info.

From what I have seen they rely a lot on David Kay's comments, and I don't especially like him.

Sounds like they will give the administration a pass and blame intelligence. I doubt that will go over big.

I could be wrong, just have seen a few segments they have shown.

17. Bush Regime blames everybody else and the..
complict Corp. Media nods in agreement.

Tenet knew that Powel was spewing lies but went along. The CIA
was going to be the scapegoat from the get go. The top CIA went along with the plan. This is why Tenet got his medal. The rank and file and those who were forced out may yet act to rid Amerika of the Neo Fascists
that took over power of Amerika.

18. And Tenet sat behind Powell that day at the UN.
He was complicit. I have a feeling you are right about the rank and file, they may yet surprise us.
