And, are you going to watch Part 2 tonight? What do you think of the show so far?

7. Here's an interesting (and short) review from the C.S. Monitor.
(The Quote below must be from Part 2, because it wasn't in part 2)

Tubegazing: 'Inside 9/11'

National Geographic 9pm Sunday Aug. 21, 22

By Gloria Goodale

One of the more provocative statements in "Inside 9/11," an ambitious four-hour miniseries on the National Geographic Channel (Aug. 21, 22), comes from an FAA whistle-blower named Bogdan Dzakovic: "What happened on Sept. 11, 2001, was not a failure in the system; it was a system that was deliberately designed to fail. And the 9/11 Commission failed in not documenting why that was allowed to happen."

2. Very Eye opening
I think more people should watch it, the first part was the history of OBL, since 1980"s, fighting the Soviet Union, with his people. Winning that war was attributed to the US (Ronald Reagan) supplying weapons, to stop the SU from taking over Afganistan. His hatred of US stems from the Kuwait invasion of Saddam, and the Saudi's selected Bush Sr (U.S) to fight Saddam, instead of his army. He then was kicked out of Saudi Arabia, and went to the Sudan, to set up his camps of terriots....Bill Clinton tried to get him on three different occations...bombed Sudan, had the CIA tracking him in Afganistan, found him twice more, but was 1. surrounded by Children, couldn't bomb, and 2. United Arab Princes freinds of the U.S. The Repub's were putting him through the impeachment process, and Americans didn't realize (nor the stupid R Congress)how dangerous OBL was. Clinton tried to warn congress And after the Cole Bombing, the newly elected Bush Administration. Heck, they even showed Bush cutting Brush on the ranch with the memo comming out...Al Queda going to attack America. But, the Congress, during Clintons term, didn't think he was telling the truth and only trying to defray the Lewinsky situation!
Just a brief discription...The first part is replay now..7:00 pm ET

4. osama doesn't have an army
back in the 70's a senate look into the affairs of the cia revealed it was operating with a $40 billion/year budget (for some reference, the moon project cost $30 billion, the entire project) and most of the cia budget is spent on disinformation using news media...nearly 30 years have gone by and the budget of the 'omnipotenti' is anybody's guess,....but they somehow conned vast numbers into believing the blatantly nonsensical version of what happened on 911 (and notice the suspicious bush election victory in 2000 election, the role of the supreme whores in it etc, never even got mentioned....why?)
forget osama bin missin...the question people should ask is 'why?' to everything: if we did, the lying fukkers would go crazy hemming and hawing (aw shucks)

6. Hey, Thanks for pointing out, PART 1 replay on NOW!
Then it will go straight into Part 2.

For the Replay folks, you've only missed 30 min, which isn't much for a 4 hour show.

3. I voted "other"
I knew it was on and want to check it out. But I was not able to. I don't want to watch Part II without watching Part I. I hope they either repeat it, or put it on "On Demand" so I can watch it at a later date.

5. If you know the history, or have been paying attention...
Edited on Mon Aug-22-05 06:38 PM by Up2Late
...to the non-U.S. News, you really didn't miss much in Part 1. It was all the History leading up to September 11, 2001, which is where Part 1 left off. You could probably get what you missed from the website.

I think Part 2 would be well worth seeing, even if you never see part 1.

On Edit: Part 1 Replay is on NOW and will be replayed tonight again (11:00pm EDT) after Part 2 ends. Part 2 will also be replayed at 1:00am EDT too.

9. I watched it too....what did you think about the last 15 minutes or so?
I was appalled at their bringing in the Iraq war as if it had ANYTHING to do with it. The whole thing was great until then.

10. I didn't have a problem with it, because of the way they...
...introduced it.

I'll have to go back to the tape for an exact quote, but they said something like, "...and then pResident Bush took us to war with Iraq, saying that it was part of our new Foreign Policy strategy to fight terrorism."

That's not the exact quote, but I thought it did make it clear that Iraq was started on false pretenses.

The part I was a little upset about was, them using the interviews with David "Axis of Evil" Frum (he's the guy that came up with that phrase).

I think we could have done without him, but they did keep his comment's very short, which I was happy about.
