American Revolution = Iraq ?
If I hear that one more time in the MSM from the right wingnuts, I'm going to implode. What a stupid comparison.

AND, another thing, those PRO-war morans in Crawford aren't PATRIOTS, they're VIGILANTES.

2. LOL...pick a war :)
We. Are. Forcing. Democracy. On. A. Theocracy. The right wing is wagging the dog now, and definitely misusing "patrioticism" in their spews.

5. Perhaps an apt analogy
But if so, and if they are cast in the role of the American Rebels then we must be playing the role of the Redcoats. And, hey, the real Redcoats are there, too! Woohoo!

12. Maybe so....
Weren't the American Revolution Patriots considered insurgents in Britain's eyes too? And did we have allies to help us?

I just don't remember such a revolution in Iraq before we stuck our big nose into that country  And how's it going in Viet Nam now? I'm confused about our current relationship with that fiasco too.

10. I'll tell you what the real comparison is......
Wounded Knee

Trail of Tears

Native American Genocide

Smallpox infested blankets as "gifts"

The loss of nearly 20,000,000 OWNERS OF THIS LAND....

Now there's a comparison worth making... cuz they are/were both the brainchild of maladjusted white men.
