Poll question: Hillary vs. Jeb Bush in '08
If it came down to these two in the '08 election, how would you vote?

1. Hillary, This is a no-brainer.
Any Dem is better than any Repug. Period.

10. Any candidate that supports the war deserves our scorn
This is the lithmus test for 2008, just as Vietnam was a lithmus test.

No point in voting for a war criminal anymore than it is to vote for someone wanting to be a war criminal.

20. Are you sure? Are you sure that Clinton winning in '92 was a good thing?

Might things not, *IN THE LONG RUN*, have worked out better if Clinton,
his cock, and the DLC hadn't all won in '92? We could have withstood
four more years of Poppy a lot better than we've been withstanding the
*COMPLETE AND TOTAL DESTRUCTION OF THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY*
that Clinton and his DLC clowns have wrought.

3. Jeb's not the problematic Bush in the future
George T. Bush is. He's young, handsome, clean record and half-latin.

23. That's the one
Regretfully I don't think that one is enough to sink him. He was relatively a pup at the time. If he keeps his nose clean (unlike his Unka George) he could be dangerous within 20 years.

Jeb's got P's sister...that and the name 'Jeb' alone are enough to sink him to Mr. and Mrs. MiddleroadAmerica.

4. I wouldn't bother going to the polls...
A vote for either is a vote for more of the same. Meet the new boss, same as the old boss.

8. That's sort of like asking
would you rather brush your teeth with battery acid, dental floss with razor blades, or just let the damn things fall out on their own.

11. Oh, good. So far, with no votes, Jeb wins anyway.
Apparently, we didn't learn anything from '00.

17. surprised at the results, but you're right
You would think people would be willing to vote for Joe Lieberman if it meant preventing another Bush in the White House. Voting for anyone but Hillary if she is the candidate, gives the Republicans another 4 years to continue to drive this country further down the toilet.

The biggest regret about '00 is not fighting harder. I don't think anyone could have known that disputed result would have had consequences THIS dramatic.

25. Agreed.
I think that Bush has exceeded the expectations of even those of us who were expecting the worst.

He has certainly proven the "there's no difference between Bush & Gore" crowd utterly wrong.

I hope she doesn't get the nomination but she would be a helluva lot better than Jeb Bush (or any Republican for that matter).

24. This thread should really be "I'd rather lose again than vote for Hillary"
How can the post read, "If it came down to these two in the '08 election, how would you vote?", and then go on to give a third option for voting for another bunch of candidates?? Coming down to "these two" doesn't mean an additional number of candidates.

If the Repuke candidate was Jeb Bush, I don't care WHO the Democratic candidate is.....they're getting my support. I'm sick of losing elections because of the Nader syndrome or the like.

Hillary deserves SOME fair criticism, but the beating she takes around here is BRUTAL and many times undeserved.
