RW talking points idjit on the Ed Schultz show yesterday

(Sorry I didn't get a chance to post this before).

A right-wing idjit got on the Ed Schultz show, did the talking points. (Should there be a prize for the most talking points covered by a caller?) Tried to blame the 9/11 attacks on Bill Clinton (as usual). Said about all the missed opportunities BC had (conveniently forgetting that his side was attacking BC for TAKING ACTION AGAINST Osama bin Forgotten).

One thing he said made me laugh, then think.

"You know what I'd like? I'd like to read a book about a guy who was going to fly a plane into some buildings but wasn't able to."

I thought about that for a few minutes. Then it hit me.

The terrorists killed less than 3000 people in the 9/11 attacks. How many people were killed in the 12/31/1999-01/01/2000 terrorist attacks? None. That's because Bill Clinton and the law enforcement agencies made sure that, not only was the Y2K bug minimalized, but the hundreds of thousands of people gathering in all the celebratory hotspots were secured.

You won't see Regnery publish a book about the New Year's Terrorist Attack That Never Was. Of course not. Because it was a success of Bill Clinton.

The best that the terrorists accomplished on US home soil under Bill Clinton was the truck bomb in February 1993. 6 people killed.

Unless you're counting the Oklahoma City bombing. Or the the 1996 Atlanta Olympics bombing. But those were "home grown terrorists" who sure as hell probably didn't vote for Bill Clinton.

Then you can bring on the old "Khobar Towers" and the "USS Cole". Not on home soil.

If some twerp uses the "I'd like to read about the terrorist attack that didn't happen on 9/11." excuse for Bush, point out that there were plenty of attempts foiled in a grander scale - on New "Millenium's" Eve . . .

1. They won't give Clinton credit for stopping the Millenium attacks

and say a border patrol agent got lucky and Clinton had nothing to do with it.

Of course, had The Big Dog caught these guys in person, they would still call it lucky.

I want to know what Bush has ever done about the Cole?
