2. they're not GOOD.
for us. Don't go that route, all the ststs look good for BUSH.

Instead look at the net income and concentrate on the degradation in lifestyle and purchase power. With all the mega-corporations hiring thousands of illegals at $5/hr with the help of the GOP, there will be PLENTY of "new hires" reported!

6.  What state do you live in?
I know Michigan and Ohio have lost tons of jobs since 2000.

The only stats I know of that can be manipulated to look good for bush* are the number of people on the unemployment, and they are very misleading since it only counts people who are currently receiving employment bennies and actively seeking work.

7. Here
http://www.bls.gov/ces/

This is the US Bureau of Labor Statistics which reports the official job creation/loss numbers. You'll have to get out the calculator and do a little work to add up the numbers, but you'll get your answer. You could probably find a news report, but if you go straight to the source your results will be unimpeachable.

8. I found some great charts
This stuff is interesting. It does mostly comparisons from Jan 2001- June 2005, some go back much further for comparison. I wish I could post the graphics but its a pdf:
