Pat Robertson’s version of the Bible has a slightly different version of the Gospel according to Matthew. ConjurBlog has come across a copy of this Bible and lists the changes to the Beatitudes (from Jesus’s famous Sermon on the Mount):

• Blessed are the great in wealth: for theirs is the kingdom of power.


• Blessed are the proud: for they shall invade and possess the land.


• Blessed are they who brag: for they shall be rewarded.


• Blessed are they that dismiss and avoid justice: for they shall have their fill.


• Blessed are the cruel: for they shall provide no mercy.


• Blessed are the dirty of heart: for they shall be God.


• Blessed are the warmongers: for they shall be called the children of God.


• Blessed are they that offer persecution in place of justice, for theirs is the Kingdom of heaven.
