Rednecks in Crawford get their 15 minutes
Here is an excerpt from the Waco Tribune Herald Sheehan blog

http://www.wacotrib.com/blogs/content/shared-gen/blogs/communities/sheehan/entries/2005/08/23/bush_fans_state.html

By Thaddeus DeJesus | August 23, 2005, 05:28 PM

Supporters of President Bush and the war in Iraq are distributing cards touting their positions to news media and spectators in Crawford. The cards have points that are equal shares incendiary and conciliatory. We’ve bleeped one word here. The cards read as follows:

“This is Bush Country! We are Texans first and Americans second. We don’t take it kindly when some out-of-state b** comes here calling our friend and neighbor George W. Bush all sorts of names and blocking our roads. We honor our veterans, both living and dead. We believe in defending Texas, even from other Americans that come here disrespecting us and our values. If George does talk to Cindy, I’m (hoping) she’ll modify her behavior, Texas-style.”

9. I wonder if they think Bush is just the president of Texas?
But there I go again, trying to apply ideas like 'thinking' to people who process information exlusively with their brain-stems.

that the majority of support being shown for Cindy is from TEXANS. He has no right to portray himself as speaking for all Texans.

5. Okay, I replied to this moran
Please speak for yourself. I'm a Texan who would rather defend all the young men and women who have died for the lies of a President who ISN'T even from Texas.
The guy is a fake, a phony and a FRA"W"D.
I certainly hope that someone in a different state doesn't read this and think we are all like YOU.
We're not. REAL Texans don't approve of the terroristic acts of people like Larry Northern and are just as appalled as the rest of the world.
So if you want to come across as a gun-toting idiotic hillbilly Thaddeus, you go right ahead. But please don't include ME or the THOUSANDS of other REAL Texans in your hate filled spiel. This ISN'T Bush country. Your world may be BUSH country, but many in this state are smarter than that.

The moderator posts the comments every two or three hours. Yes I know it is censorship, but it is his blog and I am just glad he lets me (Red Baiter) screw with it. Every time a wing nut posts some BS I refute it as fast as I can. Some of my comments get posted, other, not so much. Bur I am having fun. So there.

Don't think for a second, however, that this particular dumbass speaks for the rest of us Texas dumbasses with his little card and his b.o.

32. Texas, a country founded on greed and welching on deals
Edited on Wed Aug-24-05 02:50 PM by PurityOfEssence
The Mexican government wanted settlers for it's northern province, so it offered a three-point deal to potential settlers from the United States: speak Spanish, convert to Catholicism and give up your slaves.

Santa Ana did abrogate the Constitution of 1824, but the real issue was slavery. The great Republic of Texas came into being more as a dishonest unwillingness to give up slaves they'd promised to give up than for any other reason. The birth of that Republic was based on the racist greed of abusing fellow humans and the dishonorable breaking of a specific deal.

35. Sheeit, it weren't about slaves.
The real issue was a land steal. We was stealin' land from the Mexicans for white protestants, not trying to make Texas a slave republic. That was just a side benefit.

48. Can't believe they still think Texas is Bush
country!! To all the great Texans I know who despise the phony cowboy, I hate to say this, but we here in the NE don't want him and I'm sorry he chose your great state to set up his phony ranch in, but I'm selfish, what can I say. At least he's far from here!!

Why do they love a man who is such a coward? Has he ever spoken to anyone in his life who disagrees with him? Is he so terrified of people who have different opinions that he becomes catatonic at the prospect of hearing a different opinion?

He was AWOL. How he has the nerve to talk about honorable military service is beyond me!! How on earth can anyone who served in the military have any respect for a man who ran away from the TANG, knowing he would never be in harm's way? He couldn't even give that much to his country and let other people go to the war he supported?

Is the Rev. Moon working on these people? At least there are fewer of them than there were ~ so some of them are waking up ~
